Hollywood Boulevard (1976) - Drive-In Scene
One of my favorite scenes from Hollywood Boulevard, a great movie that pokes fun at Hollywood filmmaking in the 60's and 70's. Roger Corman produced this, but was uncredited. The infamous drive-in scene with showing Machete Maidens of Moratau, with b-movie veteran Paul Bartel as director and appears legendary Dick Miller! Hollywood Boulevard was directed by Allan Arkush who wrote Rock 'N' Roll High School and Joe Dante who wrote and directed the same film and also directed Gremlins 1 and 2, as well as many other hits.

Everybody's Doin' It on Hollywood Boulevard
From the 1976 film "Hollywood Boulevard," Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen perform "Everybody's Doin' It," a cover of the Modern Mountaineers song "Everybody's Truckin'." Ripped from DVD, this is much better video and audio quality than other copies of this scene already present on YouTube.

Jon Davison on HOLLYWOOD BLVD
Producer Jon Davison makes a bet on HOLLYWOOD BLVD Producer Jon Davison takes us through the hurry-up production of one of the last of Roger Corman's "three girls" drive-in exploitation pictures in which nubile nurses, teachers or in this case starlets have semi-clothed adventures around LA for 80 minutes or so. Enthusiastically narrated, to say the least, by The Real Don Steele. Find out more about HOLLYWOOD BLVD at the IMDB: www.imdb.com And, as always, see if you can make a movie in 10 days at trailersfromhell.com ABOUT JON DAVISON: NYU graduate and longtime film buff JON DAVISON parlayed his term as director of advertising and publicity for Roger Corman's New World Pictures into a producing career which includes two of Paul Verhoeven's best, Robocop and Starship Troopers. Other Davison productions are Airplane!, The Sixth Day, Piranha and Sam Fuller's controversial White Dog. At this moment he's probably running a 16mm print in his living room. BATTLE BEYOND THE SUN
The fairly elaborate 1959 Soviet space-race movie The Heavens Call was acquired in 1962 by Roger Corman, who assigned fledgling filmmaker Francis Coppola to rejigger it for the US market by cutting, rewriting and dubbing it into a propaganda-free second feature. But those literal-minded Russkies had neglected to include the most important aspect of any sci fi movie aimed at kids: Monsters! The wacky scatological alien puppets added by Coppola turned up again in 1976′s Hollywood Boulevard. The original, full length Mosfilm production can be viewed with subtitles here. In SovColor!

Ray Bolger Tribute
I made a YouTube Account Dedicated to Ray Bolger! Please Sub to it! www.youtube.com Ray Bolger is one of my greatest heros. I've loved him since I was a little girl. His talent is amazing, and I enjoy watching him. I appreciate his work like so many other from his time. I made this because there were zero Ray Bolger Tribute videos, and I thought this was a good opportunity to show my fandom. Most people my age only know him from the Wizard of Oz as The Scarecrow, but there are so many other things he was featured in. I also think who ever has danced, acted, met or knew him at all, is a lucky person. I would give anything to have known him. Information Found Below At: www.findagrave.com Original name: Raymond Wallace Bulcao Birth: Jan. 10, 1904 Death: Jan. 15, 1987 Actor. Born Raymond Wallace Bulcao in Dorchester, Massachusetts, son of James, a house painter, and Anne. In 1922 he made his stage debut with the Bob Ott Musical Comedy Repertory Company in Boston. He then moved to Vaudeville where he was half of a team called Sanford and Bolger. In 1926, he was spotted by vaudeville legend and star maker, Gus Edwards who hired him for the Broadway show 'A Merry World.' Numerous Broadway roles followed including the lead in the Rodgers and Hart 1936 classic 'On Your Toes.' The strength of that performance earned him a movie contract from MGM. His feature film debut was as himself in the film 'The Great Ziegfeld' in 1936. He was then cast in 'Rosalie' in 1937, and 'Sweethearts ...

Mama Hated Diesels__Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen__No Copyright Infringement Intended__Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen is an American country rock band founded in 1967. Core members included founder George Frayne, John Tichy, Billy C. Farlow, Bill Kirchen, Andy Stein, Paul "Buffalo" Bruce Barlow, Lance Dickerson, and Bobby Black. The band's style mixed country music, rockabilly, and blues, on a foundation of boogie-woogie piano. It was among the first country-rock bands to take its cues less from folk-rock and bluegrass and more from barroom country of the Ernest Tubb and Ray Price style. A pioneer in incorporating Western swing into its style, the band became legendary for marathon live shows.Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen formed in 1967 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with Frayne (b. July 19, 1944 in Boise, Idaho) taking the stage name Commander Cody. The band's name was inspired by 1950s film serials featuring the character Commando Cody and from a feature version of an earlier serial, King of the Rocket Men, released under the title Lost Planet Airmen. After playing for several years in local bars, the core members migrated to San Francisco (along with the similar Asleep at the Wheel) and soon got a recording contract with Paramount Records. The group released their first album in late 1971, Lost in the Ozone, which yielded its best-known hit, a version of the Rockabilly Hot Rod Lincoln, which reached the top ten on the Billboard singles chart ...

Johnnie Ray - "Cry" (1951)
John Alvin Ray (January 10, 1927 -- February 24, 1990) was an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Popular for most of the 1950s, Ray has been cited by critics as a major precursor of what would become rock and roll, for his jazz and blues-influenced music and his animated stage personality. Ray was born in Dallas, Oregon, spending part of his childhood on a farm, lived in Dallas, Polk County, Oregon with parents Elmer and Hazel Ray and older sister Elma Ray, and attended grade school there, eventually moving to Portland, Oregon where he attended High School. Ray was of Native American origin; his great-grandmother was a full-blooded Blackfoot Indian and his great-grandfather was Oregon pioneer George Kirby Gay of Berkeley, Gloucestershire, England. He became deaf in his right ear at age 13 after an accident during a Boy Scout event. It was his participation in the "blanket toss," a sort of variation of the trampoline, that traumatized the youngster's inner ear. Ray later performed wearing a hearing aid. Surgery performed in New York in 1958 left him almost completely deaf in both ears, although hearing aids helped his condition. Ray's first record, the self-penned R&B number for OKeh Records, "Whiskey and Gin", was a minor hit in 1951. The following year he dominated the charts with the double-sided hit single of "Cry" and "The Little White Cloud That Cried". Selling over two million copies of the 78rpm single, Ray's delivery struck a chord with teenagers and he ...
