What is Christology ?
What is Christology ?
The word "Christology" comes from two Greek words meaning "Christ / Messiah" and "word" - which combine to mean "the study of Christ." Christology is the study of the Person and work of Jesus Christ. There are numerous important questions that Christology answers: Who is Jesus Christ? Almost every major religion teaches that Jesus was a prophet, or a good teacher, or a godly man. The problem is, the Bible tells us that Jesus was infinitely more than a prophet, a good teacher, or a godly man. Is Jesus God? Did Jesus ever claim to be God? Although Jesus never uttered the words "I am God," He made many other statements that can't be properly interpreted to mean anything else. What is the hypostatic union? How can Jesus be both God and man at the same time? The Bible teaches that Jesus is both fully human and fully divine, that there is no mixture or dilution of either nature, and that He is one united Person, forever. Why is the virgin birth so important? The virgin birth is a crucial biblical doctrine because it accounts for the circumvention of the transmission of the sin nature and allowed the eternal God to become a perfect man. What does it mean that Jesus is the Son of God? Jesus is not God's Son in the sense of how we think of a father/son relationship. God did not get married and have a son. Jesus is God's Son in the sense that He is God made manifest in human form (John 1:1,14). A Biblical understanding of Jesus Christ is crucial to our salvation. Many cults and ...

Christological Astronomy 01 Introduction
Christological Astronomy 01 Introduction
This is the first in a series on Christological Astronomy presented by Dr. Dale Sides and Rev. David Scovel, regarding the Word of God written in the heavens and the great significance it still plays. They cover what the heavens looked like on the day of Jesus Christs birth on September 11, 3 BC and the prophetic significance of the positioning of the Sun, Moon and planets amongst the Mazzaroth (Zodiac). They show how God the Father prophetically spoke about the coming work of the recently born Messiah through those signs. They are correlate that if God did this for the Son of God that He would also give prophetic snapshots to those whom He called as sons. They also gave some of this prophetic understanding to the attendees of the teachings regarding their birth dates.

Darrell L. Bock on Luke's Christology
Darrell L. Bock on Luke's Christology
escription: Leading New Testament scholar Darrell L. Bock, author of "A Theology of Luke and Acts" chats with Mark L. Strauss in this clip (4 of 5) about key topics related to his highly anticipated new work. "A Theology of Luke and Acts" explores the theology of Luke's gospel and the book of Acts. In his biblical writings, Luke records the story of God working through Jesus to usher in a new era of promise and Spirit-enablement so that the people of God can be God's people even in the midst of a hostile world. It is a message that still fits the church today. Bock both covers major Lukan themes and sets forth the distinctive contribution of the Luke-Acts collection to the New Testament and the canon of Scripture, providing readers with an in-depth and holistic grasp of Lukan theology in the larger context of the Bible. Paul and the diversity of Christologies in the Early Church
In which I (gasp) concede Veritas48's point about Paul's stance on the Bodily nature of Christ's resurrection, but point out that the very fact that Paul had to address it indicates that there was a diversity of opinion on the subject. This probably indicates that the resurrection experiences of at least some of the apostles was not an encounter with a body, but was rather a spiritual experience.
