, otherwise known as the , is the world's largest self-published comic book fair, held twice a year in Tokyo, Japan. The first Comiket was held on December 21, 1975, with only about 32 participating circles and an estimated 600 attendees. Attendance has since swelled to over a half million people. It is a grassroots, DIY effort for selling dōjinshi, self-published Japanese works. As items sold in Comiket are considered very rare (because dōjinshi are seldom reprinted), some items sold at Comiket can be found in shops or on the Internet at prices up to 10 times the item's original price.

Otakuthon is Quebec's largest anime convention promoting Japanese animation (anime), Japanese graphic novels (manga), related gaming and Japanese pop-culture. It is held annually for 3 days in Montreal during a weekend in the summer months. It is a non-profit, fan-run anime convention that was initiated by Concordia University's anime club, named "Otaku Anime of Concordia University" (Otaku Anime for short). The name "Otakuthon" is a portmanteau of the Japanese word "otaku" and "marathon". Otakuthon strives to be a bilingual (French and English) event, having programming, the masquerade, and the program book in both official languages. The first edition of Otakuthon was held in 2006 in mid June, but later moved to early-mid August / late July from 2007 onward.

Rinoa Heartilly FFVIII Makeup Tutorial (cosplay)
Rinoa Heartilly was my first cosplay at my first Anime Convention lol Here's a small slide show of some pictures at the convention: www.youtube.com Her makeup is very neutral, so as a non-animated person, it's more work for us because not only do have to create that neutral look, we have to create an anime look as well. Pretty much the main key is eye liner. It can open, close, enlarge and create wider eyes with just a line! It's how you use it that can create that magic and here I'll show you guys how I did it for Rinoa, at least from my perspective. If you plan on cosplaying Rinoa, I really hope this helped!! Then with my trusty credit cards, made a hardcover 272 page photo coffee table book and now I travel to conventions selling it while photographing cosplayers and annnoying them with video interviews, lol There's 260 cosplayers in the book representing 30 states here in the US.
