A girl and her boat. The sheer enjoyment of sailing a hyperactive small trimaran. This is a Windrider 16, the smaller sister to the Windrider 17 and Rave. Smaller, but no less of a badass.
This is "Troika," the trailerable boat I've had since 1998. She is kept at a lake where she can be enjoyed by sailors with physical disabilities. The trimaran's stability and ease of handling is perfect for taking someone out of a wheelchair and giving them some freedom.
Troika is also keeping me sane while I undergo cancer treatments. I took this video a few weeks after radiation therapy and just before surgery. (I mention this not to have people feel sorry for me, but to inspire and encourage other patients, or anyone. If I can do it, anyone can!)

Windrider is the creation of 19 year old Elliot Vernon from Yorkshire, England. Although principally the keyboard player of Ravenage, he is also a guitarist which lead him to write his own music and begin this solo project. Majorly influenced by epic folk metal bands such as Equilibrium, Moonsorrow and Falkenbach, the lyrics are based on things such as Norse Mythology, the Dark Ages and the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien. All recording and post-production is done by Elliot in his home studio.

Windrider
Windrider (alternatively worded as Wind Rider and also known as Making Waves) is a 1986 Australian romantic comedy film directed by Vincent Monton and starring Tom Burlinson. Filmed in Perth, Western Australia, Australia, it features Nicole Kidman in her first 'adult' role and includes a few nude scenes.
Plot
Stewart 'P.C.' Simpson (Burlinson) lives in a magnificent beachfront home, and is an enthusiastic windsurfer, indulging his passion for windsurfing on a daily basis. His wealthy father, (Tingwell) may fault his inconsistency in working within his father's company, but can appreciate his son's remarkable abilities on the waves. With the help of his father's company's engineer Howard (Chilvers), he develops a high tech sailboard for the coming world windsurfing championship. Jade (Kidman) is a rock singer, who starts a romance with P.C., but as their romance blooms, sport, friends and the upcoming championship become secondary.

WindRider 17
The WindRider 17 is a small trimaran sailboat with foot pedal steering, for up to four people. It was designed by well known multihull sailboat designer Jim Brown and launched by WindRider LLC in 2002.
