Ganesh Venkatraman is one actor whose career seems to be ascending steadily.
Having acted with the likes of Trisha (Abhiyum Naanum) and Anushka (Damarukam), the actor has now been roped in to play opposite Shriya for a Tamil-Kannada bilingual titled Chandra.
The movie deals with the life of a last generation princess (essayed by Shriya) and the love story has popular Kannada actor Prem as one of the heroes.
Ganesh, who plays a cool and suave US-based NRI, is another protagonist. About selecting Ganesh, award-winning filmmaker Roopa Iyer says, “I wanted someone who was tall and looked debonair, for that particular US-based character, who would also be Shriya's pair. Ganesh fitted the role to a T — exactly what I had conceived in my mind.”
The film will be shot in America as well, as part of the story unfolds there.
Ganesh is equally thrilled about his new avatar! The former Gladrags Mr. India has been chosen to be the face of Coimbatore Fashion Week, the first ever high-profile fashion event in the cotton city.
Talking to DC, Ganesh said, “I am really excited about Chandra! When Roopa narrated the script, it was fascinating and I immediately gave my nod.” The actor is also eagerly awaiting his solo-hero film Pani Thuli that is soon to hit the marquee.
