A Brief History Of Great Britain
This is a video I made for my Politics Class instead of presenting the history of Great Britain. LYRICS: Britain, Great Britain, Empire x4 1282 English conquest of Wales... ya, actually nevermind, nobody really cares about that, England and Wales are basically the same, We form an alliance to conquer the Scots, We fought William Wallace but at York we were stopped, The Scots claimed independence, so them we'd just ignore, While Edward III would start the 100 Years War against France, We don't like them much, come to think of it, no one really does, (Britain, Great Britain) Greatest Empire in World History Ruled the globe for centuries, Like all empires, we ran out of luck, And now we're just an island in Northern Europe, We had a civil war about royalty or not, And we met a happy medium added to us, the Scots, We still fought over religion until we settled it in print, Since 1701 the Monarch must be protestant, Then we went to war with France again, At home and in America on the Plains of Abraham, Shortly after this, our colony in Boston, Revolted by dumping all our tea in the ocean, One lesson, you must take heed, Never ever mess with a British man's tea! We fought for years against America, And now we're just an island in Northern Europe, We felt like being greater, because Great Britain wasn't enough, So we forced the Irish to join us in our cause, 400000000 souls, and 10000000 square miles were added, But unfortunately for us, the Irish had had it, Because When Eire ...

Remember Great Britain ???
Copyright © 2008 JihadWorksBothWays The good old days before the government regulators started running our lives "for our own good" !!! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL MY FRIENDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE 40's, 50's, 60's and early 70's ! First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us and lived in houses made of asbestos.. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese, raw egg products, loads of bacon and processed meat, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes or cervical cancer. Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets or shoes, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking. As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags. We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle. Take away food was limited to fish and chips, no pizza shops, McDonalds, KFC, Subway or Nandos. Even though all the shops closed at 6.00pm and didn't open on Sundays, somehow we didn't starve to death! We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this. We could collect old drink bottles and cash them in at the corner store and buy Toffees, Gobstoppers, Bubble Gum and some bangers to blow up frogs with. We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soft drinks with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because...... WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE ...

Great Britain getting its own Patriot Act?
It seemsthe UK is a little behind when it comes to fulfilling its duty to protect itscitizens. In the US the Patriot Act was passed six weeks after the 9/11 attacks, although it was and still is highly controversial act, the UK is now proposinga similar bill. If the law passes it will give the British government the powerto monitor all digital data of its citizens. Internet companies will berequired to install special hardware to track all online activity. Jake Diliberto,US Marine and RT blogger, joins us to talk about this contentious move by the British government. Like us and/or followus: twitter.com www.facebook.com

D-day for Euro thwarted by Great Britain
Today marks D-day for the Eurozone debt crisis. Twenty-seven European leaders met today to try to come up with a solution to the ailing Euro. If a solution isn't found it could have a negative global economic impact. Twenty-three countries voted yes to the proposed regulation, three maybes and Great Britain voted against the fiscal discipline and new regulations. Tesa Arcilla gives us the latest from Brussels. 61994 & 46115 - The Great Britain V
Day two of the multi country railtour named "The Great Britain V" featured something special. On the 22nd of April, the train departed from Edinburgh Waverly behind LMS royal scot 46115 "Scots Guardsman" and headed for Thornton Junction. On arrival, they were met by K4 61994 "The Great Marquess" where the train would split -- one half headed for Fort William behind the K4 and the other to Inverness by the Royal scot. 20 minutes for the main train to split always looked tight, both trains departed 15 minutes late headed for their respective locations. We see 46115 Scots Guardsman leaving Edinburgh Waverly then outside Dalgety Bay where the locomotive can be heard working hard with its distinctive three cylinder beat in action. We then pick up the action after the train had split with 61994 at Culross in full sunshine, but unfortunately in rather windy conditions. Our last shot of the day was at Bannock Burn road where The Great Marquess can be seen working hard to make up the time it lost earlier in the day. BritishTrainVideos 2012

Jamie Oliver talks about Jamie's Great Britain
Everyone's favourite chef, Jamie Oliver talks about his brand new book and TV show, Jamie's Great Britain. Jamie's Great Britain - Celebrating Britain's very best food Jamie Oliver grew up in one of the first true British "gastropubs", which his Mum and Dad still run today. For him, the heart and soul of real British cooking is food that puts a smile on your face. And that's what he wants to share in Jamie's Great Britain: the essence of British food, done properly. Over the years, British food culture has embraced flavours and influences from all the people who came and made Great Britain their home. The food reflects an open-minded culture as well as the country's beauty. There are over 100 of Jamie's favourite recipes: some are indisputable classics, some are his versions of the classics, some should be classics but just haven't been made famous yet and others he's made up from the great bounty of British produce. Get your taste buds buzzing and get out and about this Great Britain! For more on Jamie's Great Britain cook book visit bit.ly Out 29th September
