Robert Hepler "Rob" Lowe (/ˈrɒb ˈloʊ/; born March 17, 1964) is an American actor. Lowe came to prominence after appearing in films such as The Outsiders, Oxford Blues, About Last Night..., St. Elmo's Fire, and Wayne's World. On television, Lowe is known for his role as Sam Seaborn on The West Wing and his role as Senator Robert McCallister on Brothers & Sisters. He is currently a main cast member of Parks and Recreation, playing the role of Chris Traeger. Early in his career Lowe gained notoriety as a life-in-the-fast-lane playboy, ending up in the spotlight for various personal indiscretions and tabloid scandals, including one of the first "sex tape" scandals to hit Hollywood.
Lowe was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, the son of Barbara Lynn (née Hepler), a teacher, and Charles Davis Lowe, a trial lawyer. His parents divorced when Lowe was young. He has a brother, actor Chad Lowe, and two half brothers. Because of a virus during infancy, he is deaf in his right ear (he later played a deaf character in Stephen King's The Stand). Lowe was baptized into the Episcopal church. His father is of German , English and Irish ancestry and his mother was of German, English, Welsh, and Scottish descent. He was raised in a "traditional midwestern setting" in Dayton, Ohio, attending Oakwood Junior High School, before moving to the Point Dume area of Malibu, California with his mother and brother. He attended Santa Monica High School, the same high school as fellow actors Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen, Sean Penn, Chris Penn, and Robert Downey, Jr.
Patrick Wayne Swayze ( /ˈsweɪziː/; August 18, 1952 – September 14, 2009) was an American actor, dancer and singer-songwriter. He was best known for his tough-guy roles, as romantic leading men in the hit films Dirty Dancing and Ghost, and as Orry Main in the North and South television miniseries. He was named by People magazine as its "Sexiest Man Alive" in 1991. His film and TV career spanned 30 years.
Diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer in January 2008, Swayze told Barbara Walters a year later that he was "kicking it". However, he died from the disease on September 14, 2009. His last role was the lead in an ill-fated A&E TV series, The Beast, which premiered on January 15, 2009. Due to a prolonged decline in health, Swayze was unable to promote the series. On June 15, 2009, Entertainment Tonight announced the show's cancellation.
Patrick Swayze was born on August 18, 1952, in Houston, Texas, the second child of Patsy Yvonne Helen (née Karnes; born 1927), a choreographer, dance instructor, and dancer, and Jesse Wayne Swayze (1925–1982), an engineering draftsman. He had two younger brothers, actor Don Swayze (born 1958) and Sean Kyle (born 1962), and two sisters, Vickie Lynn (1949–1994) and Bambi. He was a sixth cousin once removed of news commentator John Cameron Swayze, and a relative of noted Texas Revolution soldier Henry Karnes. Swayze was raised Roman Catholic.
Keanu Charles Reeves ( /keɪˈɑːnuː/ kay-AH-noo; born September 2, 1964) is a Canadian film actor. Reeves is perhaps best known for his role in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure as well as Speed, Point Break and the science fiction-action trilogy The Matrix. He has worked under major directors, such as Stephen Frears (in the 1988 period drama Dangerous Liaisons); Gus Van Sant (in the 1991 independent film My Own Private Idaho); and Bernardo Bertolucci (in the 1993 film Little Buddha). Referring to his 1991 film releases, The New York Times’ critic, Janet Maslin, praised Reeves’ versatility, saying that he “displays considerable discipline and range. He moves easily between the buttoned-down demeanor that suits a police procedural story and the loose-jointed manner of his comic roles.” A repeated theme in roles he has portrayed is that of saving the world, including the characters of Ted Logan, Buddha, Neo, Johnny Mnemonic, John Constantine and Klaatu.
In addition to his film roles, Reeves has also performed in theatre. His performance in the title role in a Manitoba Theatre Centre production of Hamlet was praised by Roger Lewis, the Sunday Times, who declared Reeves " … one of the top three Hamlets I have seen, for a simple reason: he is Hamlet."[citation needed] On January 31, 2005, Reeves received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Coasters are an American rhythm and blues/rock and roll vocal group that had a string of hits in the late 1950s. Beginning with "Searchin'" and "Young Blood," their most memorable songs were written by the songwriting and producing team of Leiber and Stoller. Although the Coasters originated outside of mainstream doo wop, their records were so frequently imitated that they became an important part of the doo wop legacy through the 1960s.
The Coasters are a doo-wop group that started in October 1955. The original members of the Coasters were Carl Gardner, Billy Guy, Bobby Nunn, Leon Hughes (who was replaced by Young Jessie on a couple of their early Los Angeles recordings), and guitarist Adolph Jacobs. Jacobs left the group in 1959. The Coasters' were formed out of the group The Robins, a Los Angeles based rhythm and blues group, which included Carl Gardner and Bobby Nunn.
The songwriting team Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller had started Spark Records, and in 1955 produced "Smokey Joe's Cafe" for the Robins (their 5th single with Leiber-Stoller). The record was popular enough that Atlantic Records offered Leiber and Stoller an independent production contract to produce the Robins for the Atlantic label. Only two of the Robins—Gardner and Nunn—were willing to make the move to Atlantic, recording their first songs in the same studio as the Robins had done (Master Recorders). In late 1957 the group moved to New York and replaced Nunn and Hughes with Cornell Gunter and Will "Dub" Jones. The new quartet was from then on stationed in New York (although all had Los Angeles roots).
Take a walk around midnight in the city
Young blood is hiding there somewhere
If you're looking for something to do
There's always something happening there
Like I & Bragger, we borrowed a coupe today
Here come Pepe and she's got a friend in a Chevrolet
But she ain't running, she's walking a little slow
And she ain't crying, she's just singin' a little low
They say this city will make you dirty, but you look alright
You feel real pretty when he's holding you tight
City will make you mean but that's just make-up on your face
Love will wash you clean in the night's disgrace
Find a block where your people can find you
Keep your third eye watching behind you
You never know when you're making a memory
They will wish they were here together again, someday
Kids looking for something to get into, take a look
Two for the movie show, three in the back row, hold on tight
Remember, you might have looked like cool twelve
But your fuse felt just like dynamite
This city will make you dirty, but you look alright
You feel real pretty when he's holding you tight
City will make you mean but darlin', that's just make-up on your face
Love will wash you clean in the night
Take a walk around midnight in the city
Young blood will find you there, somewhere
And if you're looking for something to do
There's always something happening there
Something's happening there
Something's happening there
I know what she's doin'
I saw it comin from the start
I've watched her in motion
She's aimin right for my heart
Guess I should know better
But it's hard to refuse
She's got it down to the letter
Youngblood,
Struttin' like a school girl
Cocksure, got no doubt on her mind
She always gets what she wants
She gonna get what she needs
Oooh, Eyes like crazy diamonds
Shinin' like a cat in the dark
The way she's put together
Always seems to tear me apart
Sneakin up behind me
She pulls me deeper under the
spell of her.
Youngblood,
Struttin' like a school girl
Cocksure, got no doubt on her mind
She always gets what she wants
She gonna get what she needs
She, she's not yet a woman
But she's got the power,
If you allow her
Under your skin, she's tyin' her
love to your soul
Soon she'll be takin' control
She's just a
Youngblood,
Struttin' like a school girl
Cocksure, got no doubt on her mind
She always gets what she wants
She gonna get what she needs
With her youngblood, she wraps
it all around you
So tight, that I'm powerless to leave
I'm burning hot
Just get a shot of that
Quas
I was sittin' back reminiscing the other day
I was thinking about how it was to be a kid
Man, we had no problems
Remember back in the days when we was kids
Everything was much simpler, very easier
No worries
Now as we grow up
Many problems, more worries, more worries
In a hurry, remember?
When we was young we used to chase dogs and cats
Now the only thing I seem to chase is rats
The ones that wanna use me for my best stacks
Tryina fix me up without a jim hat
So you can get child support, yo it's a dirty act
So I gotta turn up on the dirty mat
(keep it on the low)
That's what everybody says
Is everybody like this?
Yeah man, I remember back in the days
I was never into girls, I was listening to music
Now look
When I was young, I used to chase rabbits
Now the only thing I seem to chase is bad habits
I gotta get a watch cause I'm never on time
Like when I bought that whole case of coronas and forgot lime (damn)
Roll up the weed and forget the lighter (hey, anybody got matches?)
Damn, I gotta get my shit tighter
Late for that, late for that
Wrong format, wrong sucker standing on my doormat
Yeah man
Can't seem to get away nowadays
I remember when I was a kid
you´re close to me, close as the end
I love the past, I must not forget it
I do remember "Dialogue", "Sunrise"
and searching for Liebenfels
bloodyoungblood
you´re far from me, (why are you) so far from me
I call up the past and I regret it
outside I stand looking in
and revel in the chill of nihil
bloodyoungblood
not dead in beds of white
not dead a body wired
not dead
he is not dead
he is not dead in beds of white
he is not dead a body wired
he did not die he did not die
he did not die
may the past arise
and change the future
