Teresa Wentzler
Teresa Wentzler, is an American artist and cross-stitch designer known primarily for her fantasy-inspired designs.
She self-publishes her work through her Montoursville, Pennsylvania-based TW Designworks business (launched in late 1998), although many of her earlier cross-stitch designs are available through Leisure Arts, Inc. Additionally, the Janlynn Corporation has manufactured her designs in kit form for several years. Prior to self publishing, she was a regular contributor to Just CrossStitch magazine. She followed Cathy Livingston and was succeeded by Marie Barber. In July 2005, Teresa announced that she would taking a leave of absence from cross stitch design to focus more on artwork with the first fruits of this new focus being a selection of art prints of pen and ink fantasy designs, also sold through TW Designworks. In early October 2007, Teresa announced that her temporary leave of absence was ending, having found a local on-demand publisher to work with.
Teresa excelled in art and music during her days attending Hughesville High School and was particularly impacted by her participation in the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts program during the summer year between her Junior and Senior years.

When my girlfriend pulled the Peacock Tapestry out of her stash I just knew it had to be stitched and this was the year. Thank you so much for tuning in today ❤️ This year I made the decision to start a coveted Teresa Wentzler! When my girlfriend pulled the Peacock Tapestry out of her stash I just knew it had to be stitched and this was the year.
But behind the Wentzler beauty hides intimidation and often exhaustion resulting in retirement of the WIP.
In an effort to prevent this, I thought my first step was to research how to succeed in stitching a Wentzler. Was there a certain way to stitch to prevent burnout? Can I stitch on a higher count? And how the heck does one organize 200 flosses, 95% of which are blended with a color which is nowhere near the first color number…
In this video I will talk about:
1) the charts (details, working copies, resources etc)
2) fabric selection (recommended counts, types of fabrics and if you should graph)
3) threads (organization methods, storage, working threads etc)
4) stitching (where to start, confetti, burnout, highlighting, backstitching)
Above all, this is a stitch one needs to have the right mindset for. We need to realize it is a SLOW stitch and most importantly embrace the process while the painted threads create the most beautiful piece you have ever stitched.

I've been meaning to make this stitch with me video for so long, and finally it happened! Normally there's a certain logic to what I talk about in my chatty-stitch-with-me, but I just wanted to be casual and talk about random things in this one, so I did. I hope you can stitch with me and hear me ramble. JP and I have some good banters like we usually do. Although I have to say in daily life, we make fun of each other a lot more!
This is my very first Teresa Wentzler experience. I'm stitching it for my best friend, who most likely will have her wedding late next year, if covid allows it.
Unfortunately the lighting was not the best because I was stitching this in my stitching corner. I could see pretty well but the effects in the video definitely was not of good quality. Next time I'll have a better set up I promise! :)

Thank you so much for tuning in today ❤️ This year I made the decision to start a coveted Teresa Wentzler! When my girlfriend pulled the Peacock Tapestry out of her stash I just knew it had to be stitched and this was the year.
But behind the Wentzler beauty hides intimidation and often exhaustion resulting in retirement of the WIP.
In an effort to prevent this, I thought my first step was to research how to succeed in stitching a Wentzler. Was there a certain way to stitch to prevent burnout? Can I stitch on a higher count? And how the heck does one organize 200 flosses, 95% of which are blended with a color which is nowhere near the first color number…
In this video I will talk about:
1) the charts (details, working copies, resources etc)
2) fabric selection (recommended counts, types of fabrics and if you should graph)
3) threads (organization methods, storage, working threads etc)
4) stitching (where to start, confetti, burnout, highlighting, backstitching)
Above all, this is a stitch one needs to have the right mindset for. We need to realize it is a SLOW stitch and most importantly embrace the process while the painted threads create the most beautiful piece you have ever stitched.

Hi Dabblers, how are you guys doing?
I've been meaning to make this stitch with me video for so long, and finally it happened! Normally there's a certain logic to what I talk about in my chatty-stitch-with-me, but I just wanted to be casual and talk about random things in this one, so I did. I hope you can stitch with me and hear me ramble. JP and I have some good banters like we usually do. Although I have to say in daily life, we make fun of each other a lot more!
This is my very first Teresa Wentzler experience. I'm stitching it for my best friend, who most likely will have her wedding late next year, if covid allows it.
Unfortunately the lighting was not the best because I was stitching this in my stitching corner. I could see pretty well but the effects in the video definitely was not of good quality. Next time I'll have a better set up I promise! :)

Teresa Wentzler
Teresa Wentzler, is an American artist and cross-stitch designer known primarily for her fantasy-inspired designs.
She self-publishes her work through her Montoursville, Pennsylvania-based TW Designworks business (launched in late 1998), although many of her earlier cross-stitch designs are available through Leisure Arts, Inc. Additionally, the Janlynn Corporation has manufactured her designs in kit form for several years. Prior to self publishing, she was a regular contributor to Just CrossStitch magazine. She followed Cathy Livingston and was succeeded by Marie Barber. In July 2005, Teresa announced that she would taking a leave of absence from cross stitch design to focus more on artwork with the first fruits of this new focus being a selection of art prints of pen and ink fantasy designs, also sold through TW Designworks. In early October 2007, Teresa announced that her temporary leave of absence was ending, having found a local on-demand publisher to work with.
Teresa excelled in art and music during her days attending Hughesville High School and was particularly impacted by her participation in the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts program during the summer year between her Junior and Senior years.
