Engdahl: Greek bailout terms remind of Hitler

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is urging her lawmakers to support the new rescue package for Greece. This despite worries that Athens will need even more cash in the future, and suggestions from Germany's Interior Minister that it's time Greece left the Eurozone altogether. The 130-billion euro bailout was agreed in principle last week after months of tense discussions among the Eurozone leaders. Germany, as Europe's richest economy, has to contribute the majority towards it. But there is a sense of unease in Berlin that it will have to keep coughing up cash to prevent a Greek debt default. It's the second bailout in a little over 18 months would ensure Athens can pay its debtors for the time being. To discuss the possible outcome of this package,RT's joined by political analyst William Engdahl. RT on Twitter: twitter.com RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com Related article

Afghan Taliban attack Lake Qargha hotel near Kabul

Officials say insurgents armed with rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns attacked the Spozhmai Hotel in the Lake Qargha area. Reports say there were casualties and that hostages - including women and children - are being held in the hotel. The Taliban have claimed the attack. Lake Qargha is a popular area favoured by Kabul residents. The gunmen launched the attack on the hotel late on Thursday, the officials say. "Currently, police forces have besieged the hotel where people gathered for a picnic or wedding party," Kabul deputy police chief Daoud Amin told the AFP news agency. "We will be very careful so that not to harm to civilians," he added. Reuters news agency quotes the Taliban as saying wealthy Afghans and foreigners use the hotel for "wild parties". Violence has recently increased across Afghanistan, with at least three US soldiers and about 20 Afghans killed in a series of attacks over the past seven days. The attacks come as Nato prepares to hand responsibility to Afghan forces when the alliance's combat troops leave in 2014. Are you in the Lake Qargha area of Kabul?
