John Isaac "Ike" Moore (7 February 1856–18 March 1937) was the Acting Governor of the U.S. state of Arkansas.

Moore was born in Lafayette County, Mississippi. Moore graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1881. He studied law and was admitted to the Arkansas bar in 1882. From 1894 to 1900, Moore served as probate judge in Phillips County, Arkansas. He was elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives in 1882, 1901, and 1903. In 1903, he served as Speaker of the House.

In 1904 Moore was elected to the Arkansas Senate. He served terms in the Senate in 1905, 1907, 1913, and 1915.

On 11 February 1907, Governor John Sebastian Little resigned from office due to mental and physical illness, and John Isaac Moore, who was president of the Senate at the time, became acting governor. He served as governor until the legislature adjourned on 14 May 1907. Moore was later a member of the Arkansas Constitutional Convention.

John Edmund Valentine Isaac (14 February 1880 – 9 May 1915), DSO, was an English cricketer: a right-handed batsmen who played ten first-class matches in South Africa and England between 1906 and 1908. He was born at Powick Court, Worcestershire.

Isaac's first-class debut came for the South Africa Army cricket team in the only match of that standard they ever played, when they met MCC at Thara Tswane, Pretoria in January 1906. The MCC side were far too strong for their opponents and won by an innings, Isaac making 0 and 8. This match was chiefly notable for Schofield Haigh's feat of taking four wickets in as many balls in the Army's second innings.

In 1906-07 he played four times for Orange Free State in the Currie Cup, though his highest score was only 34 not out. Curiously, in Isaac's eight visits to the crease he was four times out bowled to a man who would take six or more wickets in that innings (JJ Kotze 8-57, RO Schwarz 7-25, AEE Vogler 6-34 & 8-24).

In 1907 and 1908, Isaac made five appearances for Worcestershire County Cricket Club, but never made more than 13 and never played first-class cricket again.

Isaac Moore (8 April 1867 – 10 September 1954) was a Scottish professional footballer who scored 9 goals from 38 appearances in the Football League playing as a left half or forward for Aston Villa, Lincoln City and Burton Wanderers.

Moore was born in Dundee in 1867. He made his debut in the Football League for Aston Villa in the 1889–90 season, scoring three goals from six appearances in all competitions. He spent three seasons with Lincoln City, playing regularly in the Midland League – he was the club's leading scorer in the 1890–91 season, with 16 goals in League and FA Cup – and the Football Alliance before being an ever-present in Lincoln's first season in the newly formed Football League Second Division. He then played in the Football League for Burton Wanderers before joining Southern League club Swindon Town for whom he made eleven league appearances, scoring once.

Moore died in 1954 at the age of 87. His grandson, Thomas Moore, also played with Villa.

Isaac ( /ˈaɪzək/;Hebrew: יִצְחָק, Modern Yitsẖak Tiberian Yiṣḥāq, ISO 259-3 Yiçḥaq, "he will laugh"; Yiddish: יצחק, Yitskhok; Ancient Greek: Ἰσαάκ, Isaak; Latin: Isaac; Arabic: إسحاق‎ or Arabic: إسحٰق‎ʼIsḥāq) as described in the Hebrew Bible, was the only son Abraham had with his wife Sarah, and was the father of Jacob and Esau. Isaac was one of the three patriarchs of the Israelites. According to the Book of Genesis, Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born, and Sarah was beyond childbearing years.

Isaac was the only biblical patriarch whose name was not changed, and the only one who did not leave Canaan. Compared to those of Abraham and Jacob, Isaac's story relates fewer incidents of his life. He died when he was 180 years old, making him the longest-lived patriarch.

The anglicized name Isaac is a transliteration of the Hebrew term Yiṣḥāq which literally means "He laughs/will laugh."Ugaritic texts dating from the 13th century BCE refer to the benevolent smile of the Canaanite deity El. Genesis, however, ascribes the laughter to Isaac's parents, Abraham and Sarah, rather than El. According to the biblical narrative, Abraham fell on his face and laughed when Elohim imparted the news of their son's eventual birth. He laughed because Sarah was past the age of childbearing; both she and Abraham were advanced in age. Later, when Sarah overheard three messengers of the Lord renew the promise, she laughed inwardly for the same reason. Sarah denied laughing when Elohim questioned Abraham about it.

John Jorgenson (born 6 July 1956 in Madison, Wisconsin) is a US musician. Although best known for his guitar work with bands such as the Desert Rose Band and The Hellecasters, Jorgenson is also proficient in the mandolin, mandocello, Dobro, pedal steel, piano, upright bass, clarinet, bassoon and saxophone. While a member of the Desert Rose Band, Jorgenson won the Academy of Country Music's "Guitarist of the Year" award three consecutive years.

Jorgenson has also recorded or toured with many artists including Elton John, The Byrds, Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Hank Williams Jr., Barbra Streisand, Luciano Pavarotti, Roy Orbison, Patty Loveless, Michael Nesmith and Bonnie Raitt.

Jorgenson has played professionally since the age of fourteen, and had been playing both the piano and clarinet since age eight.

He was born in 1956 in Madison, Wisconsin, into a musical family. His mother was a piano teacher and his father an orchestra conductor and college music professor.
