BIG Animal Update! August 2013
BIG Animal Update! August 2013
Here is a much-needed update with better video quality and more detail on what I feed my critters. I do what I can to research and provide my pets with the best care possible but I am open to opinions and suggestions on how I can improve the diet and well-being of my babies. I have been keeping and caring for reptiles for just a few years, but I have been handling and caring for wildlife and animals my entire life. I have always been an avid animal lover who was inspired at a young age by Steve Irwin and Jeff Corwin. Animal Planet was my religion as a child. :D Thanks for watching, guys! Feel free to contact me with questions you may have about your own pets, and I will do what I can to help you out. *** Chin food I couldn't remember... OXBOW. Sorry, I had a brain fart. Let me know what your favorite Chin food is and if you think the kind he is currently feeding on is adequate nutritionally. Thank you! :) Food I feed my STO, Willow: (in order of most prevalent food item) 1. (Meat/Protein) Evangers wet food, Dubias, Superworms, F/T Pinkies (sparsely), farm-fresh raw/cooked egg, Cooked Turkey/Chicken and/or giblets (gizzard, heart, liver), Fish (sparsely) 2. (Fruits/Veggies) Grapes, Apples, Cooked Carrots, Tomatoes, Nectarines, Mangoes, Peaches, Bananas 3. (Treats) Plain low-fat yogurt, Yogies 4. (Dry-Food) Large Parrot mixes (with lots of nut variations!), Blue Buffalo cat food, Monkey Biscuits, Sugar-Glider mixed foods (Basically try to get a large variety of seeds, nuts, high protein cat food and other carnivorous nibblets to supplement their diet... If they are inclined enough to eat it! hehe) 5. (Supplement) Vionate (General Mammal multi-vitamin) Food I feed my Chin, Pepper: 1. Bonanza Chinchilla food Nutrition Breakdown: Crude Protein (17.5%), Crude Fat (4%), Crude Fiber (16.5%) Main ingredients are Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Wheat Middlings, Soybean Hulls, Dehulled Soybean Meal, Clipped Oats, Timothy Hay... It goes on, but nothing looks too bad. Here is a link to the brand: http://www.petco.com/product/112531/LM-Animal-Farms-Bonanza-Gourmet-Diet-Chinchilla-Food.aspx 2. (Treats) Yogies, Harvest Blend Fiesta (eats only the raisins), Dandelion Drops (with rosehips) * The Petco brand dust bath is actually quite nice and is a very fine powder as it should be. But considering I've never had anything else, I can't be sure! :) Food I feed my Crested Gecko, Nigel: 1. (Staple Diet) Repashy CGD (Banana/Original Flavor) 2. (Treats) Banana, Mango, Nectarine Food I feed my Leos: 1. (Staple Diet) Superworms, Dubias, Mealworms, Waxworms 2. (Supplement) Repashy Calcium Plus, Repashy Superpig (sparsely), Exo-Terra Calcium (in dish) (Not in this video!) Food I feed my Rough-Skinned Newts: 1. (Staple Diet) Earthworms, F/T Bloodworms 2. (Extras) F/T Brine Shrimp, Small crickets, Waxworms ---- Music: Sonata N. 8 in C Minor for Piano, Op 13 - "Pathetique"- published: 26 Aug 2013
