Suicide Can Dampen the Holidays! When you reach your 'breaking-point' reach for a joint and take Time 4 Hemp. Suicide rates spike during the holidays. It is the third leading cause of death in teenagers and children in the United States. Those who have honored us with their service to our country in the Armed Forces are returning home from duty and killing themselves at an alarming rate. What many people do not know and are still learning is how effective smoking marijuana is at combating depression. In a 2-part segment that first broadcast on American Freedom Radio in October of 2010, host Casper Leitch opens up for the first (and only) time about his battle with Bi-Polar Syndrome with his guests, Lennice Werth and Ed Glick in this 'Time 4 Hemp Classic' podcast.

FlashPoint CTV/CBS 05.09.09 'Last Dance' Team One is called to intercept a volatile young couple (guest stars Kathleen Munroe, WITHOUT A TRACE and Luke Kirby, TELL ME YOU LOVE ME) on what appears to be a drug-fuelled crime spree. But as 'Bonnie and Clyde' hold a roomful of terrified wedding guests hostage, the team discovers the tragic secret behind this unforgettable night. And Parker (Enrico Colantoni) must make a wrenching ethical decision that threatens Team One's unity. THE SRU The Strategic Response Unit is a team of cops like no other theyre the elite, the blueblood of the force. High risk is their business and life-and-death stakes are their world. The SRU team is also unique; they rescue hostages, bust gangs, defuse bombs, climb buildings, see through walls and talk down suicidal teens. It takes years on the street, intense physical conditioning and elite marksmanship to qualify for the SRU. The team uses state-of-the-art equipment sniper rifles, snake-cameras, robots, flash-bangs, night-vision and tasers. But beyond all of the cool gadgetry, the most important weapons in their arsenal are human intuition, a gift for words and their ability to read emotion. Each team member is uniquely trained in negotiating, profiling and getting inside a subjects head. They stand out because of the rare balance between lethal hardware and people skills: pure muscle and pure intuition. Theyre the envy of law enforcement everywhere. Winter Backpacking Adventure Tahoe National Forest - Bradley Hut
Started out at a trailhead located off of Hwy 89 at Forest Rd 8...Headed back in just a little over 6 miles, most of it fire road but a couple of miles of it bushwhacking our way back on route. We setup camp not too far NE from the Bradley Hut area, about 1/8 of a mi or so away is all. It was quite the adventure considering we only expected a low of 32 degrees and clear skies according to the weather report prior to our departure. As it had turned out, shortly into our hike it was quite gusty with high winds and cold which had us a bit concerned for our later warmth and being able to setup a fire once we found our spot to setup our camp for the night. We found our camp to setup and found rocks nearby to setup our fire pit. Chris, bless his heart actually had a hand saw, that saw aloud him to cut off some large pieces of wood for our fire rather than spending the night fueling the fire with small rubbish from the surrounding area of down limbs and what not. We set up sort of a wind shield to help guard the fire from the high gusty winds and blowing unnecessary embers into our environment. Tested a few embers that flew off and we were pretty safe from being a fire hazard in which was a relief from having to constantly be on guard. At around 1900 hrs or so we started seeing a few snow flurries in which at 1st we thought might have been ash, it was dark out and so it was difficult to dtm with only our headlamps and fire for light source. The night temps were dropping quickly ...

What's Cooking with Natural Gas?
What's Cooking with Natural Gas? - Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming - 2008-07-30 - The Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming held a hearing on what role natural gas can play in a climate-friendly energy future on Wednesday July 30, 2008. Natural gas plays a critical role in numerous sectors of our economy from home heating to chemical production to electricity generation to transportation fuel. With 3.4 percent of global natural gas reserves, the United States has the fifth largest reserves in the world. Since a low in 1986, domestic consumption of natural gas has generally increased and its uses have broadened. Natural gas has especially become popular as a cleaner alternative to coal in the electrical utility sector and gasoline and diesel in the transportation sector. As Congress considers energy policies that will increase our energy independence and help solve global warming, understanding the role of natural gas in our economy and how it might contribute to energy policies is critical. WITNESS LIST: Aubrey McClendon, CEO, Chesapeake Energy; Clay Harris, CEO, Suez LNG North America; David Manning, Executive VP, National Grid; Rich Wells, Vice President Energy, The Dow Chemical Company; John German, Manager Environmental and Energy Analysis, American Honda; Mark Smith, Executive Director, Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States. Drilling for Answers: Oil Company Profits, Runaway Prices and the Pursuit of Alternatives
Drilling for Answers: Oil Company Profits, Runaway Prices and the Pursuit of Alternatives - Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming - 2008-04-01 - On Tuesday, April 1, 2008, Chairman Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) brought in top-level executives from the five largest oil companies to discuss the current state of oil and gas prices, oil company profits, and the need for clean, renewable fuels to ease demand for oil and cut global warming pollution. The Select Committee heard from the number two officers worldwide for the three United States-based oil companies and the presidents of US operations for the foreign companies. ExxonMobil reported record profits of 0.6 billion in 2007, and the other top four oil companies like BP and Shell made billions more. These same companies are fighting to keep 8 billion in tax breaks that Congress is attempting to shift towards renewable energy incentives for wind, solar, biomass and other climate-friendly sources. The House recently passed the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2008, but President Bush and the top oil companies are fighting to defeat the measure in the Senate. WITNESSES: * Mr. J. Stephen Simon, Senior Vice President, Exxon Mobil Corp.; * Mr. John Hofmeister, President, Shell Oil Company; * Mr. Robert A. Malone, Chairman and President, BP America, Inc.; * Mr. Peter Robertson, Vice Chairman, Chevron; * Mr. John Lowe, Executive Vice President, ConocoPhillips.
