A Celtic Warrior Tribute: Art & Artifact
This video shows glimpses of the Celtic warrior from the Bronze-Age to the Post-Roman period (1200 BCE to 600 CE) across Europe. The Gauls, Galatians, Celtiberians, Picts, Britons, Irish and Romanized Celtic warriors are shown. As well as their weaponry and accouterments used in war. It is for fun and a little educational. The music is by the Italian Celtic themed band, 'The Barbarian Pipe Band' with their very tribal song 'El Tedesc'.

How to Draw Celtic Sprials 2 - Triple Spirals from the Book of Kells 1/2
Jason Bellchamber demonstrates how to draw a Celtic Triple spiral from the Chi-Ro page of the book of Kells. The 2nd video will be published in a few days. This first of 2 videos, shows how to pencil the design with a good quality compass. A cheap compass will not be fun to draw with since they tend to open and close as you draw with them. Triple patterns are the most common motif in Celtic art. They even predate Celtic designs too, in Ireland early triple spirals are found carved in the monolith at Newgrange, Co. Meath and on the wall inside its passage tomb. Thousands of years later in the 7th century Celtic monks began copying Byzantine bibles as their culture converted to Christianity. These monks used the compass to construct triple spiral designs on vellum. They also filled the pages empty space with celtic knots and figures too. The clover is likely an inspiration for the image. Triple spirals constructed with the compass are also predominant in Maori art and in Japanese family crests as well.

Celtic Lore - Adrian von Ziegler
Celtic Lore composed and performed by Adrian von Ziegler. I have used a collection of celtic themed fantasy pictures to support Adrian's great piece of music. I have used women as I think the music is soft and free flowing like a dance and so suited to that feminate touch I have tried to portray. I do not own the music or pictures and make no money or financial gain from this. I have no connection with any of the artists. BUT you can see more great work at "dashinvaine " channel and "AnneStokesCollection" channel If you like the music or indeed like Goth or metal or Celtic themed music then please do yourself a favour and visit Adrian's Youtube page or use the following links:- adrianvonziegler.bandcamp.com www.facebook.com/adrian.vonziegler For a superb collection of fantasy pictures, then take a look at www.dashinvaine.co.uk or www.dashinvsine.deviantart.com www.annestoles.com www.luiskoyo.com www.elfwood.com www.deviantart.com where there are plenty of great artists out there that need to share their work with the world. They have such a great talent and skill. I spend ages looking at the work on these sites of these very talented artist and their work. Vist there now, you will not regret it, for it's heaven. please enjoy:

Celtic Jewelry
Celtic jewelry, antiquities The ancient Celtic warriors engaged their enemy as if they would defeat them simply by overrunning them, trusting their brute force more than elaborate tactics and clever strategies. War and warfare definitely played an important role in their ancient society. The end of ancient Celtic culture came when Ireland was Christianized in the 5th century BC, followed by Scotland soon after. The word Druid, referring to the learned class in ancient Celtic society, may itself have come from the word for "knowing or finding the oak tree" and their early gatherings took place in clearings in the forest. Although there is no direct connection between the Tree of Life motif used to symbolize Christ in the illustrated manuscripts and the importance of the tree to ancient Celtic Druids, it is interesting to speculate that the image, if not the concept, has resonated for centuries in Celtic thought and design. There symbols are usually visual representations of many of their ancient customs and beliefs that date back to as early as 3000 BC. The Druids have a startling kinship with the Brahmans of the Hindu religion and were, indeed, a parallel development from their common Introduction European cultural root which began to branch out probably five thousand years ago. Ancient Celtic art has two distinctive styles. It has been only in recent decades that scholars have begun to reveal the full extent of the parallels and cognates between ancient Celtic society ...
