Bat-Mite is a fictional character appearing in stories published by DC Comics. Bat-Mite is an Imp similar to the Superman villain Mister Mxyzptlk. Appearing as a small childlike man in an ill-fitting costume, Bat-Mite possesses what appears to be near-infinite magical power, but in reality is highly-advanced technology from the fifth dimension that cannot be understood by our limited three-dimensional views. Bat-Mite idolizes Batman and thus he has visited Batman on various occasions, often setting up strange events so that he could see his hero in action. Bat-Mite is more of a nuisance than a supervillain, and often departs of his own accord upon realizing that he has angered his idol.
Bat-Mite regularly appeared in Batman, Detective Comics, and World's Finest Comics for five years. Bat-Mite and Mr. Mxyzptlk teamed up four times in the pages of World's Finest Comics to plague Superman and Batman together, as well. In 1964, however, when the Batman titles were revamped under new editor Julius Schwartz, Bat-Mite vanished along with the other extraneous members of the Batman family such as Ace the Bat-Hound. After this, only three more Bat-Mite stories were published in the pre-Crisis DC Universe: two Bat-Mite/Mr. Mxyzptlk team ups in World's Finest Comics #152 (August 1965) and #169 (September 1967) (which were not edited by Schwartz but by Mort Weisinger), and "Bat-Mite's New York Adventure" from Detective Comics #482 (February–March 1979), in which the imp visits the DC Comics offices and insists that he be given his own feature in a Batman comic. This story featured protestors with picket signs shouting "We want Bat-Mite!" outside the Tishman Building (where DC's editorial offices were located at the time), and was accompanied by an editorial comment that this story was published specifically to acknowledge the actual requests of fans for this character's revival.
Plastic Man (Patrick "Eel" O'Brian) is a fictional comic-book superhero originally published by Quality Comics and later acquired by DC Comics. Created by writer-artist Jack Cole, he first appeared in Police Comics #1 (August 1941).
One of Quality Comics' signature characters during the Golden Age of Comic Books, Plastic Man can stretch his body into any imaginable form. His adventures were known for their quirky, offbeat structure and surreal slapstick humor. When Quality Comics was shut down in 1956, DC Comics acquired many of its characters, integrating Plastic Man into the mainstream DC universe. The character has starred in several short-lived DC series, as well as a Saturday morning cartoon series in the early 1980s, and as a recurring character on Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
Although the character's revival has never been a commercial hit, Plastic Man has been a favorite character of many modern comic book creators, including writer Grant Morrison, who included him in his 1990s revival of the Justice League; Art Spiegelman, who profiled Cole for The New Yorker magazine; painter Alex Ross, who has frequently included him in covers and stories depicting the Justice League; writer-artist Kyle Baker, who wrote and illustrated an award winning Plastic Man series; artist Ethan Van Sciver has an affinity for the character as he always toys with the idea of launching a regular monthly Plastic Man series and often draws him for fun, and Frank Miller, who included him in the Justice League in the comics All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder and Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again.
Walter Flanagan (born October 23, 1967) is a comic book store proprietor, reality TV star, podcaster, comic book artist, actor and songwriter. Flanagan is a long-time friend of Kevin Smith, and (according to Smith's book Silent Bob Speaks) it was Flanagan who had turned Smith onto comic books.
Flanagan is co-host of the "Tell 'Em Steve-Dave!" podcast with longtime friends Bryan Johnson and Brian Quinn. Walter is also the lead star in AMC's "Comic Book Men", which premiered in February 2012.
He has provided the art for two comic books published by IDW and written by Bryan Johnson, as well as two for DC Comics:
Walt Flanagan has also been the subject of a few inside jokes in the Askewniverse movies. In Clerks and Mallrats, respectively, both Randal and Brodie tell bizarre stories of their cousin Walter. Seeing as Randal and Brodie are supposed to be cousins themselves according to Smith, one would only assume that they are speaking of the same cousin Walter.
Also, in Mallrats, Jay makes the comment "Damn, that bastard's faster than Walt Flanagan's dog." This comment is expanded upon in the comic book prequel to Mallrats starring Jay and Silent Bob, where they get Walt's dog high. When provoked, Krypto (the dog) hops the fence, and chases the stoner duo across Leonardo township (passing the YMCA where Julie Dwyer has just met her untimely demise).

You break my bones
Crush my head with stones
You dance on my grave
I am your slave
You tear out my eyes
Feed me with the lies
You piss on my brain
Drive me insane
I love you baby when you're dead and you're so red
Cut off my arms. Bite off my legs
Saw off my head. For mercy I beg
You love me baby when I'm dead
You bought your smile in a corner
You paid a pretty little penny, you did.
You paint yourself in a picture
As you deny the kind of person you've been
You get what you feel, what you wish to be
You can't live sarcastic sincerity
You sharpen your guilt like a guillotine
You get what you feel, you get what you feel
I gave you everything, you threw it away.
Put me out like a cigarette, out like a cigarette.
Love like a cancer, still you beg me to stay
Put me out like a cigarette, out like a cigarette.
Come on!
You pop right in to the moment,
You paid a pretty little penny, you did.
You never noticed how broken
As you deny the kind of person you've been
You get what you feel, what you wish to be
You can't live sarcastic sincerity
You sharpen your guilt like a guillotine
You get what you feel, you get what you feel
I gave you everything, you threw it away.
Put me out like a cigarette, out like a cigarette.
Love like a cancer, still you beg me to stay
Put me out like a cigarette, out like a cigarette.
You kneel to pray,
Live life on your knees embrace the disease.
Stop to breathe in as you start to choke, your life begins.
YOU PUT ME OUT! LIKE A CIGARETTE!
I gave you everything, you threw it away.
Put me out like a cigarette, out like a cigarette.
Love like a cancer, still you beg me to stay
It's no bad mood
It's a look you thought might kill but
You knew better
Wake up cold
Do you know you're not dead
Make the same mistake
You've lost your head
Rearrange events again
Let them suit your next complaint
Self-absorbed
You're all wrapped up
So deep inside
I took a plane over the stars,
It didn't get me very far,
'Cause all my problems, they follow me,
I flew to the moon, but it wasn't far enough away from you,
'Cause all our problems, they follow me, yeah, hey, yeah,
And every night, I close my eyes,
And all my troubles fade,
But every morning when I rise,
I'm still sleeping in this bed I made, yeah,
One million times inside of my mind,
I have justified,
But all my problems still follow me,
And I discovered a way to cleverly avoid the blame,
But all my problems still follow me,
And every night, I close my eyes,
And all my troubles fade,
But every morning when I rise,
I'm still sleeping in this bed I made,
I can't outrun the pain, oh,
Should have faced these demons as they came, yeah,
And what I wouldn't trade,
To make some room in this bed I made,
'Cause every night, I close my eyes,
And all my troubles fade,
But every morning when I rise,
I'm still sleeping in this bed,
I'm still sleeping in this bed,
i think i know what you mean i just don't understand why
it's not as
strange as it seems it's just a matter of time falling in
love with me was
your mistake without a thought about the price you'd pay
it's hard to see
this as real it's still a lot like a dream i'm spinning
just like a wheel
just like a leaf in a stream bit off a little more than i
could chew i
never meant to make a meal of you and if i seem afraid to
sleep in the bed
we made it's just that i feel torn and the heart on my
sleeve is worn down
sometimes i wish i could grow i know there's more that
you need you say
with every bone you want me never to leave trying too
hard could be my only
I'm in a bad mood
And I just woke up this way
I don't know what triggered it
But I'm having a bad day
Everyone keeps asking me
But I don't know what to say
I'm in a bad mood
And I just woke up this way
I can't help it, I just woke up this way
I'm in a bad mood
And I just woke up this way
Went out to get ice cream
'Cause I thought it might
Brighten my day
Too bad that didn't help
I guess that "everything sucks today"
I'm in a bad mood
And I just woke up this way
I can't help it
Beat my head
Against the wall
Until I bleed
Until I fucking fall
Pressure's rising
I got to unload
I'm running out of time
Ready to explode
And I clench my fists
Until I feel no pain
I got nothing to lose
I got nothing to gain
See my hate
Feel the anger
As my blood
Starts to flow
Pressure's rising
Running out of time
Will I ever get this
But I get angrier with age
Better to be ready if you rattle my cage
Oh, you look disappointed in me
Oh, am I not as thoughtful as you thought I'd be?
Yeah, I know I'm always giving you the third degree,
But you look disappointed in me
Now I'm in a bad, bad mood, a bad, bad mood
If I found a town
I'd like to spend the rest of life in,
maybe, I would.
If I met a friend
I'd like to tell all of my secrets to,
maybe I would.
If I saw a sea
I'd like to swim across,
or maybe dip my feet in,
I would.
If I found a seed
I'd like to plant into a tree,
maybe, I would.
If I never seem to understand,
my purpose in this promised land.
If I come across a man,
who'd like take my hand, well I should.
If I knew a trip
I'd like to take some day,
I know I would
I run up and down
looking for what I've lost,
hoping its found.
But sunshine doesn't shine all day,
nothing seems to go my god damn way.
So if I found the right road to go
or maybe just to take a stroll,
I know I will
If I find the time to answer questions in my mind I know
I know I will
