Apartment Composting 101: Vermicompost with Barb Finnin
Apartment Composting 101: Vermicompost with Barb Finnin
UPDATE: We have modified this original design to a shallower, more airy worm bin. Check out our new design here, ryanishungry.com Cheers! Good Luck! ————————————-- Barb Finnin is part of the amazing Freshtopia team. She's a certified master composter- her specialty is Vermicomposting with worms. We were super excited to learn that we could compost in our city apartment with a homemade worm bin even though we don't have a yard. Throwing food scraps away in the garbage is not something either of us enjoys, so having a green alternative has been more than satisfying for our sustainability goals. After 4 weeks, our worms are happy and thriving. Find out more about Vermicomposting and other forms of composting on Wikipedia. Visit Barb at Freshtopia.net. Runtime- 9:47

Iron Maiden - Judas be my Guide
Iron Maiden - Judas be my Guide
I've uploaded one of my favourite songs called Judas be my Guide from Fear of the Dark album (1992). Enjoy! Lights out - We live in a world of darkness No doubt - Everything's up for sale We sleep - All of the world is burning We pray - To god for a better deal Nothing is sacred - Back then or now Everything's wasted... Is that all there is? Can I go now? Judas my guide Whispers in the night Judas my guide Fight wars - Die in a blaze of glory Come home - Meat in a plastic sack Fall down - Better pray to your God for mercy So kneel - and help the blade cut clean Nothing is sacred - Back then or now Everyone's wasted... Is that all there is? Is that it now? I live in the black I have no guiding light I'm whispering in your dreams... Judas my guide Whispers in the night Judas my guide Judas my guide Whispers in the night Judas my guide

www.bestseedbank.com Butler's Archived hydroponics vertical grow from HG420 February 2006 The EcoSystem is a purpose built vertical growing chamber It retails in the UK for around GBP 2200. • Plastic Injection moulded growing structure with two access doors ensuring easy plant maintenance • Suitable for 2 x 400/600W lights (I chose 2 x 600s but I've heard reports that the system works better with 400s !!) • Optimum lighting of plants thanks to an air cooled tube aligned vertically through the centre of the system • Integrated 80 litre reservoir in the base of the system • Integrated ventilation system • Plants are grown in 20 x rockwool slabs that are suspended vertically. These were included with the system • Continuous irrigation • 80-200 plant capacity • Powerful pump with delivery/irrigation system • 2 x E40 lamp holders with power cords terminating in an EIC fittings • Available without or without bulbs and ballast • Dimension: (LxWxH) 122 x 122 x 168cm I first started experimenting with the EcoSystem in 2005 as I wanted to maximize the very limited space available to me in a good friends attic. My first attempt used 99 cuttings (approximately 5 cuttings per slab) (Strains - Cindarella, PowerPlant and Mazar) and I yielded 39 ounces. I am quick to concede that I had not even began to realise the potential of the system as, even at the end of flowering, it appeared not to be filled anywhere near to capacity. So this growroom diary begins with my second attempt, using ...

Making Plastic Heads and Custom Toys for Stop Motion and Fun
Making Plastic Heads and Custom Toys for Stop Motion and Fun
How to Make Stop Motion Plastic Puppet Heads and Custom Toys. Using Mould Lifes Easy Flow 60, John Ikuma shows you how to make Plastic Stop Motion Puppet Heads and Custom Toy Castings. www.stopmotionmagazine.com Quick Facts: 1) Video was shot in 80% humidity in a garage during a rainstorm. Moisture in no way effected the casting. 2) A Wood stick was used to stir the ingredients. Manufacturer suggests using plastic or metal to stir ingredients. My reply to this is, if it's dry then it will work. Use common sense. 3) Baby Powder serves two purposes when applied to a mold. First, it acts as a casting release in sticky silicone molds (yes they do exist). You can also use sprays for this purpose as well. Second, the powder also helps the liquid find the detail of the mold. (Q: Is this powder even necessary / A: No, on small runs with non-sticky molds and I've seen bad castings with the powder in the mold with this particular plastic. You can just spray mold release into the mold and you should be fine. Remember that if you have a bad run then it's most likely something you missed or ignored. Use your good judgment). These methods were tested and used over many years. They have been confirmed by many experts and have been proven to yield great results. The proof is in the Video.
