High Fiber Foods - Healthy Weight Loss
Naturopathic Doctors strongly suggest that we increase roughage (fiber) in our diets. The latest holistic medical research suggests the high incidence of heart disease, diabetes, bowel disease, hernia and diverticulitis in western countries on a lack of dietary fiber in the diet. How much dietary fiber are you consuming on a daily basis? Americans usually avoid high fiber diets because of a concern that it will increase gas levels and bloating. As a matter of fact eating fiber will help the normal detoxification processes, normalize your bowel and support maintenance of a healthy weight and prevent bowel diseases. Dietary fiber amounts are now listed on most product labels in supermarkets. It is suggested that we consume at least 35 grams of dietary fiber daily. This amount can assist in re-establishing proper digestion in your body by toning and strengthening your bowel, eliminating harmful toxins. High Fiber Foods in Your Diet represent the revolutionary way for you to lose weight, prevent disease, stay slim and have more energy. Dietary fiber and digestive enzymes are a great way to improve poor digestion. www.fiber25diet.com

The Super Fiber that Controls Your Appetite and Blood Sugar
Imagine eating 12 pounds of food a day -- and still staying thin and healthy. That may sound crazy, but it's exactly what our hunter-gatherer ancestors ate for millennia! And they didn't have any obesity or chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or dementia. The key was fiber. And in today's UltraWellness blog, Dr. Mark Hyman will tell you how increasing your daily intake of soluble fiber can help you reduce your appetite, lose weight, and protect you from chronic illness.

Fiber Optic Connector Types
L-com Global Connectivity (www.L-com.com) Explains Fiber Optic Connector Types There are several types of fiber optic connectors available today. The most common are ST, SC, FC, MT-RJ and LC style connectors. All of these types of connectors can be used with either multimode of singlemode fiber. There are three types of polishes which can be applied to a fiber connector: PC or Physical contact, UPC or Ultra Physical contact and APC or Angled Physical contact. Each polish type exhibits a different level of back reflection. Back reflection is a measure of the light reflected off the end of a fiber connector. This light is measured in decibals. For certain applications, the amount of back reflection on a fiber connector is critical. View more tips and videos at www.L-com.com

Animusic 2 - Fiber Bundles
Visit www.animusic.com if you're interested in watching this amazing Animusic video, along with seven, fourteen, or more other Animusic videos, with much better picture and sound quality on DVD. Animusic is a computer animation company specializing in the visualization of MIDI-based music. This is a computer generated video showing surreal objects which look like deformed fluorescent tubes making music by glowing in a room that resembles an alien spacecraft. In the middle, there is a drum set that is played by projectiles of light. It seems that most of the objects are being fed light via fiber optic cables from something on the ceiling. Each of the lighting objects has a unique synthesized sound. Here they are in the order they start playing: 0:04 green: warm pad 0:15 white: echo synth pulses 0:41 purple: synth bass guitar 0:42 drum set (including synthesized drums) 1:19 red: lead synth 1:20 yellow: chorus synth 3:16 green: synth arpeggio 4:18 green: synth arpeggio (higher pitched)

Google Fiber: Ultra High Speed Broadband coming to Kansas City, KS
As part of our overall goal to make the web better for users, last year we announced a new project: to provide a community with Internet access more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have today. After a careful review, we're very happy to announce that we will build our ultra high-speed network in Kansas City, Kansas. We've signed a development agreement with the city, and we'll be working closely with local organizations, businesses and universities to bring a next-generation web experience to the community. Thank you to every community and individual that submitted a response, joined a rally, starred in a YouTube video or otherwise participated.

Carbon Fiber
*I do not own the rights to this video. This is not my video. I got it from Dailymotion.com to share here on youtube. Explore the inner compounds of a carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is the common name used to refer to plastic reinforced by a graphite textile. Less frequently, the term is used to describe the textile itself, but it is pretty much useless unless embedded in plastic. Carbon fiber is known alternatively as carbon fiber reinforced plastic or carbon fiber composite. Carbon fiber is very expensive, but has a fantastic weight-to-strength ratio. Attempts to put it into mass production have so far failed, due to inadequate demand, the customized nature of most carbon fiber parts, and a lack of skilled craftsmen. The material is employed in high-quality cars, boats, bicycles, and planes, including popular Formula One racecars. Depending on the orientation of the fiber, the carbon fiber composite can be stronger in a certain direction or equally strong in all directions. A small piece can withstand an impact of many tons and still deform minimally. The complex interwoven nature of the fiber makes it very difficult to break. In terms of weight-to-strength ratio, carbon fiber composite is currently the best material that our civilization can produce in appreciable quantities. Introducing carbon nanotubes into the fiber is currently in research stages, and may offer improved ratios of 10 times or greater a space age material indeed. Carbon fibers are chemically grown on ...

Portal's 'Still Alive' Played by Fiber Laser
See 'Want You Gone' played with a laser here!: www.youtube.com UPDATE 3/22: Thanks for all the supportive comments! You will be happy to know that due to the incredible support (that I was not expecting) I am working on another tune and making it even better than this one! I've seen a lot of questions about how this was done (and a few about it being fake - which I can assure you it's not) so here's the sort explanation. The laser beam makes sound when it strikes the plate. By turning the laser on and off hundreds of times per second it acts almost like a speaker cone moving back and forth hundreds of times per second - making various pitches. Some pitches are off key and will always be due to the laser "only" being accurate to .001". Due to how close different note frequencies are together it would need to be accurate to .0002" or better (totally useless for industrial marking) to always be on key. The rounding up/down to .001" gets the notes "close enough" but still off by a few cents. Thanks again! Chris UPDATE 3/21: I received word back from Valve and it looks like they already have enough people making Portal merchandise, so for the time being the plates are all mine. Miiiiiiiinnnneeeeee! Sorry. UPDATE: There has been a lot of interest in these stainless plates with the Aperture logo (thanks!). I've sent a few emails to Valve asking for their permission to make them for you - it is their logo after all. If you want to be kept in the loop send me a message and I will ...

Brenda Watson's Fiber 35 Diet - What is Fiber?
TheFiber35 Diet: Nature's Weight Loss Secret is a lifetime system of optimum nutrition based upon eating 35 grams of fiber every day. Too many processed foods and refined sugars in our diet have taken the place of fiber-rich fruits and vegetables, leaving us vulnerable to weight gain and poor health.
