Villain Actors Remembered - James Mason
My memorial to James Mason, the English actor whose highly unusual voice enabled him to play menacing villains. Here he is as Dr. Polidori in Frankenstein The True Story, Rupert of Hentzau in The Prisoner of Zenda, and Richard Straker in Salem's Lot.

I met a murderer (1939) JAMES MASON FULL MOVIE
I met a murderer (1939) JAMES MASON FULL MOVIE
"I met a murderer" starring James Mason and future wife Pamela Kellino was filmed in 1937 and directed by Roy Kellino, who at that time was still married to Pamela. The film is essentially the story of a man on the run, James Mason (a farmer) murders his nagging wife and then goes on the run, encountering a girl (Pamela Kellino) who brings him brief happiness. The film unusually for a British film of the period uses an absolute minimum of dialogue, and uses the camera and plenty of close-ups of the leading players to tell its story. This interesting film has never been shown on UK tv,or been released to dvd or video. The running time quoted for the full print is 79 minutes, but this version runs just over an hour is an American release print. This film is a must for fans of James Mason, and shows the actor perfecting his craft that would soon propel him to star status in both the UK and the US. This film was originally protected by the Copyright Acts of 1911 and 1956. Copyright in the UK expired in 1989 and it is presented here for research purposes only.

Hello, I've been collecting rare films and television programmes for nearly twenty years now and I thought it was high time I shared some clips from a few of the titles in my archive with you nice people out there. If you've a similar passion or just want to say hello, thanks etc. get in touch with me here or at statesedgefilms@virginmedia.com I look forward to hearing from (at least) a few of you and hope that you enjoy my humble offerings. THE UPTURNED GLASS (1947) A prominent neurosurgeon relates to his students in medical school a story about an affair he had with a married woman and how, after the affair was over, the woman one day fell out a window and died. The surgeon, suspecting that she was murdered, set out to find her killer--but, instead of turning the suspect over to the police, he planned to take his own revenge on the murderer (imdb).

Bob Larson Interviews James Mason (Full Interview)
Bob Larson Interviews James Mason (Full Interview)
Footage of James Manson inter viewing James Mason. James Mason is a supporter of Charles Manson, and recognized him as the current king of the lineage of white supremacy, following in the footsteps of folks like HitIer and George Lincoln Rockwell. Larson spends most of the interview alluding to the bible to support his own arguments, much to Mason's bemusement. Please excuse the presence of the Race and Reason interview of Radio Werewolf at the end, I was unable to remove it from the total video, because it was not cut into chapters or sections and the total length is almost 2 hours.

James Mason in 20000 Leagues Under the Sea as the legendary Captain Nemo. This is all taken from the motion picture directed by Richard Fleisher, in 1954. This is the best adaptation ever of a novel by Jules Verne, and James Mason is wonderful in this film. Music by Hans Zimmer, extract from "I don't think now is the best time"
