Flash Gordon Music Video
Flash Gordon Music Video
A tribute video to the 1980 film Flash Gordon accompanied by the memorable title song by Queen. Topol, Melody Anderson, Brian Blessed, Timothy Dalton, Max von Sydow and Sam J. Jones as our hero Flash Gordon. The film is filled with cheesy dialogue, silly costumes and goofy special effects. This was one of those films I watched all the time when I was little, catching it everytime it played on TV. Years later watching it - I still get a kick out of it! www.HaphazardStuff.com

The Temptations - Silent Night (A Temptations Tribute) 1980
The Temptations - Silent Night (A Temptations Tribute) 1980
"Silent Night" (German: "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht") is a popular Christmas carol. The original lyrics of the song "Stille Nacht" were written in Oberndorf bei Salzburg, Austria, by the priest Father Joseph Mohr and the melody was composed by the Austrian headmaster Franz Xaver Gruber. In 1859, John Freeman Young (second Bishop, Episcopal Diocese of Florida) published the English translation that is most frequently sung today. The version of the melody that is generally sung today differs slightly (particularly in the final strain) from Gruber's original, which was a sprightly, dance-like tune in 6/8 time, as opposed to the slow, meditative lullaby version generally sung today. Today, the lyrics and melody are in the public domain.

1980 Miracle on Ice- Lake Placid A Tribute to 1980 USA Hockey Team
1980 Miracle on Ice- Lake Placid A Tribute to 1980 USA Hockey Team
It was on a early Friday evening, I remember the broadcasts were alot differnt, did not have all the cable channels-just 1 network,It was on Tape Delay, and unless you were there you listened to it on the radio.I was 14 at the time America was going thru alot of difficult times before Lake Placid. We had over 400 Hostages stuck in Iran, Gas Shortages, and Russia invaded Afganistan. The Russians Came Here so cocky, that all they neede to do was show up.Then these rag tag team of collage kids and their coach did the impossible, they beat the Greatest Team in the World and gave this country something to believe in again,They beat Finland 4-2 that following sunday to win the Gold.To this day I think this is the only Game to change a whole countrys outlook. Special Thanks for the Use Pictures and Music

Love of Life Tribute February 1, 1980
Love of Life Tribute February 1, 1980
30 years ago today, Love of Life faded to black for the last time. Here is a special goodbye from CBS News, one of the rare occasions in which a network covered the cancellation of a long-running serial. I remember this like it was yesterday, and after three decades, I still agree with the Candyman. Oh, boy, I miss it.

John Denver live in Aspen - Boy From The Country (1980): My Tribute To The Man For Nature
John Denver live in Aspen - Boy From The Country (1980): My Tribute To The Man For Nature
In this video, John Denver was singing "Boy From The Country" in 1980 with the Aspen Festival Orchestra conducted by Lee Holdridge for the Aspen Music Festival. I think this is the best video I've ever made. The scenes are taken from the TV Special "Music And The Mountains" and the audio is taken from an old radio broadcast, but they are actually from the same concert: Aspen, Colorado, 19th August 1980. Enjoy the beautiful scenes of wild creatures and feel John's love for nature... John Denver is mother nature's son. He is not only a singer-songwriter, but also a great environmentalist. If you are fond of his music, please support his work. Please do all what you can do to help saving the environment. We must make this world a better place for our children to live in. Thanks for watching. RIP JOHN DENVER Because he called the forest brother Because he called the earth his mother They drove him out into the rain Some people even said the boy from the country was insane Because he spoke with fish in the creek He tried to tell us that the animals could speak Who knows, perhaps they do, I know they do How do you know they don't Just because they've never spoken to you Boy from the country, he left his home when he was young Boy from the country, he loves the sun He tried to tell us that we should love the land We turned our heads and laughed And we did not understand Sometimes i think that the boy from the country Is the only one who sees Because the boy from the country <b>...</b>

Wonderful, beautiful and sad OMD's song from the excellent 1980 album "organisation". Years ago, I read that this song was written and dedicated to Ian Curtis. This is my tribute to a Tribute. The way you moved I can't explain The mood subsides And grows again I've lived alone I've held a hand I've tried to care And understand What is faith And when belief And who knows how These things deceive I never said And though I tried If I could leave And sleep tonight I can't imagine How this ever came to beThe way you moved I can't explain The mood subsides And grows again I've lived alone I've held a hand I've tried to care And understand What is faith And when belief And who knows how These things deceive I never said And though I tried If I could leave And sleep tonight I can't imagine How this ever came to be I can't imagine How this ever came to be I can't imagine How this ever came to be

The Beauty of Pixar
The Beauty of Pixar
All credit goes to leandrocopperfield.blogspot.com After spending 11 days re-watching all 11 Pixar feature films, Leandro Braga took 500 hand-selected scenes and made an amazing tribute to the best animation studio on the planet. This mash-up is a trip in the films of Pixar Animation Studios. Were 11 days re-watching all feature films, selected more than 500 scenes, and a hard work editing. Editor's note: Pixar's films have always been very important in my life. I was 6 years old when I watched Toy Story the first time, and his films made my childhood more happy. So this video is a personal tribute for, in my opinion, the best animation studio of all time. This video was purely non-profit and not aimed at breaking copyright laws. Lists of films used ... Vladimir Vysotskij Tribute
Vladimir Vysotskij Tribute
Here is a song ("Chuzhoj Dom" - "The Foreign House"), typical of the style of the great Russian singer and poet Vladimir Vysotskij. Vladimir Semyonovich Vysotskij (sometimes spelled Vyssotskij, Vysotzkij, Vyssotzkij, Visotskij, Vissotskij, Visotzkij, Vissotzkij, Vysotsky, Vyssotsky, Vysotzky, Vyssotzky, Vysotski, Vyssotski, Vysotzki, Vyssotzki, Visotsky, Vissotsky, Visotzky, Vissotzky, Visotski, Vissotski, Visotzki, Vissotzki, in Russian Влади́мир Семёнович Высо́цкий) (1938 - 1980) was perhaps the brightest artistic mind in the former Soviet Union. A highly anti-establishemnt song-writer and singer, he became somewhat of a folk hero. His main occupation was as a lead actor at the Taganka Theatre in Moscow, where he became particularly famous for playing Hamlet in an off-stream performance of Shakespeare's play. Vysotskij appeared in several movies. He also wrote songs and soundracks for many movies and often sang them himself. Being in a constant conflict with Soviet authorities resulted in periodic bans of his songs. He became known for his unique singing style and for his lyrics, which incorporated social and political commentary into often humorous street vocabulary. His lyrics resonated with millions of Soviet people in every corner of the country; his songs were sung at house parties and amateur concerts. He died at age 42 in a hospital in Moscow during the 1980 Olympic Games. It was estimated that over one million people attended Vysotskij's funeral, almost as many <b>...</b>

I couldn't resist making a tribute music video for this 1980's comedy classic.. One of the most funniest movies that ever came out of the 80's era . I believe this was Tom Hanks first comedy movie. He was too funny! Adrian Zmed performed this song for the movie.
