Transferring heating oil to underground tank
Transferring heating oil to underground tank
I salvage oil from retired tanks after homeowners convert from heating oil to natural gas, propane or a heat pump. After this video I'll film the removal of the home heating oil from an underground oil tank with a barrel pump into the 5-gallon diesel gas cans. This 8-quart steel funnel is made by Behrens Manufacturing in the USA (Winona, MN) and can be found on their website: www.behrensmfg.com The screen will catch most debris sometimes found at the bottom of fuel tanks. I also elevate my pump off the bottom of the tank to get less sediment and/or water that might be at the bottom. The filter at your oil furnace should catch and clean the rest.

PERFECTION OIL HEATERS.
PERFECTION OIL HEATERS.
REMEMBER: NOTHING IS IDIOT PROOF. (If you are an idiot, don't watch my channel) PERFECTION OIL HEATERS are a great back up and supplement heat source for the Prepper. 1888 the Cleveland Foundry Company was formed. They manufactured a line of oil lamp stoves. In 1894, the plant started producing portable heaters. The Perfection product lineup was extremely important to the growth of American civilization. By 1918, over 5000000 heaters were in use. By 1922, over 3000000 Perfection kitchen stoves and ranges were in use in American homes! A sizeable percentage of households used a Perfection product on a daily basis. The "Golden Age" of the Perfection Stove Co. lasted from 1916 until the middle 1950's. It was not until well after WW II that electric power lines were finally strung throughout rural areas. And by the 1950's, the cost of electricity in cities had been reduced significantly.

How Oil Drilling Works On Discovery's Dirty Jobs
How Oil Drilling Works On Discovery's Dirty Jobs
In 2008 alone, the United States produced an estimated 4.9 million barrels of crude oil per day and imported 9.8 million barrels per day from other countries [source: US Energy Information Administration]. This oil gets refined into gasoline, kerosene, heating oil and other products. To keep up with our consumption, oil companies must constantly look for new sources of petroleum, as well as improve the production of existing wells. How does a company go about finding oil and pumping it from the ground? You may have seen images of black crude oil gushing out of the ground, or seen an oil well in movies and television shows like "Giant," "Oklahoma Crude," "Armageddon" and "Beverly Hillbillies." But modern oil production is quite different from the way it's portrayed in the movies. Source of video: science.howstuffworks.com Video Rights: dsc.discovery.com DIRTY JOBS profiles the unsung American laborers who make their living in the most unthinkable — yet vital — ways. Cindy Sheehan dirige mensaje en la marcha defensa soberanía venezolana
We Reject United States Sanctions Against Venezuela On Tuesday, May 24, 2011, the United States Department of State unilaterally imposed sanctions against Venezuela's state-owned oil company, Petróleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA), for its alleged relations with the government of Iran. The sanctions are a desperate and weak attempt to link Venezuela to Iran's nuclear energy program as part of an ongoing campaign to justify further aggressive action against the South American oil producing nation. As citizens of the United States, we unequivocally reject this latest attempt of our administration to demonize the Venezuelan government and undermine the vibrant democracy of the Venezuelan people. The Venezuelan government of Hugo Chavez has already been victim of a coup d'etat in 2002, backed by Washington, which briefly ousted the President from power. Fortunately for the health of Venezuela's democracy, the people fought back, rescued their President, and reinstated constitutional order. Then, as now, the United States stood alone in its support for hostilities against Venezuela's democratically-elected government. The government of Hugo Chavez has used its oil wealth to invest heavily in improving the wellbeing of its people. Currently, more than 60% of oil industry profits are directed towards social programs in Venezuela, including free healthcare, education, job training, community media, grassroots organizations and subsidized food and housing. The results are notable ...
