If you're looking for a beach break this summer, you could do a lot worse than staying in the UK, according to a new report into water quality. More than four-fifths of UK bathing spots have 'excellent' water quality, according to the European Environment Agency and the European Commission. And a total of 511 sites - 83 per cent of our beaches - achieved the top grade, while 97 per cent met mandatory EU standards, including London's Serpentine Lake which will host Olympic events such as the open...
