Eddie Kaye Thomas (born October 31, 1980) is an American film, television, and stage actor who rose to prominence in 1999 as Paul Finch in the ''American Pie'' film series.

Early life

Thomas was born in Staten Island, NY. He began his acting career as a stage actor at age seven, appearing in ''Four Baboons Adoring the Sun'' in 1992 and ''The Diary of Anne Frank'', opposite Natalie Portman in 1997. He graduated from New York's Professional Children's High School already a veteran of the Broadway stage.

Film and television

Thomas made his onscreen debut in an episode of ''Are You Afraid of the Dark?'' about a possessed camera that destroys everything it shoots entitled ''The Tale of the Curious Camera''. He also appeared on ''Law & Order'' twice in 1996, playing different characters each time.

His screen work includes the independent movie called ''Illtown'', ''The Rage: Carrie 2'', and James Toback's controversial motion picture ''Black and White'' in which Thomas co-starred with Robert Downey, Jr. and Jared Leto, the title role of Canadian shock-comic Tom Green's ''Freddy Got Fingered'', and as the stereotypical Jewish character Rosenberg in ''Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle'' (2004) and ''Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay'' (2008) opposite David Krumholtz.

From 2001–2002 Thomas starred in the television series ''Off Centre'' with John Cho. He returned to the small screen in the sitcom '''Til Death'' for two seasons, until Fall 2008, when his character was removed from the show for budget reasons. However, Thomas's character returned in the fifth episode, which aired Wednesday, October 8, 2008, without any explanation as to his absence in the first four episodes. He has also appeared in the ''CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'' episode "No More Bets".

Thomas appeared in commercials for Snickers and Nike and in 311's music video for "Flowing".

He has continued to do stage work, appearing off Broadway in 2006 and guest voiced on ''American Dad!'' in 2009.

Eddie is a talented soccer player and has been scouted by Major League Soccer club D.C. United since the age of sixteen and a half. He was finally offered a professional contract two weeks after his 22nd birthday, but turned it down to further pursue his acting career. He is good friends with American Pie co-star Chris Klein and is a fan of San Jose Earthquakes, having held a season ticket since he turned 20 in the year 2000.

Jonathan Drew Groff (born March 26, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter, stage, television and film actor. He originated the role of Melchior Gabor in ''Spring Awakening'' and appeared as Jesse St. James in the musical television series ''Glee''.

Personal life

Groff was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from a Methodist mother – Julie, a gym teacher – and Mennonite father – Jim, a harness horse trainer and driver. He has one older brother, David. Of his upbringing, he has said "My mother’s side of the family is Methodist, which is how I was raised. It was conservative in that I had strong values—sitting down and eating with the family every day, listening to authority and going to church every week and having perfect attendance at Sunday school. But at the same time, my parents always encouraged my brother and me to be happy with what we were doing. My parents were athletes in high school; my mom and my dad were the stars of the basketball team, but they never pushed my brother and me to be anything we didn’t want to be." Groff graduated from Conestoga Valley High School in 2003.

Groff told Broadway.com during the National Equality March in Washington, D.C., that he is "gay and proud". Groff guest starred in the back nine episodes of the first season of ''Glee'' along with ''Spring Awakening'' co-star Lea Michele. He introduced Michele to ''Glee'' creator Ryan Murphy prior to the show's start.

Career

Groff had a year of waiting tables in New York until he booked his first acting job in 2005 as a swing/dance captain for the musical "In My Life" by Joseph Brooks (songwriter). The musical was about a boy with tourettes syndrome, and Groff understudied the lead part. He never performed in the role.

Groff originated the role of Melchior Gabor in the Broadway production of ''Spring Awakening''. He played the role from the musical's Broadway debut on December 10, 2006 through May 18, 2008. He also played the same role in the original Off Broadway production earlier during the summer of 2006. Groff also was in the National Tour of ''The Sound of Music'' as Rolf, and appeared in Fame at the North Shore Music Theater in Beverly, Massachusetts. In April 2007, he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his role in ''Spring Awakening.'' In May 2007, he was nominated for the Tony Award as Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his performance, with the award eventually going to David Hyde Pierce''.

He played the recurring role of Henry Mackler on the ABC soap opera ''One Life to Live''. His storyline about a school shooting on the long-running soap opera was nixed due to the Virginia Tech shooting in April 2007, and he is no longer on the show.

Before performing on the Broadway stage, Jonathan was a performer at The Ephrata Performing Arts Center in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. There he portrayed such characters as Edgar in ''Bat Boy: The Musical'' and Ugly in ''Honk!''.

Groff played as Claude in the Shakespeare in the Park production of ''Hair'', which ran July 22 through August 31, 2008, and as Michael Lang in Ang Lee's film, ''Taking Woodstock''.

Groff has appeared in the Off-Broadway production of ''Prayer for My Enemy'' by Craig Lucas (''Prelude to a Kiss'', ''Light in the Piazza'') about the consequences the Iraq war has had on an American family.

In August 2009, Groff performed ''The Bacchae'' as Dionysus as a part of the Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park.

He was guest starring on ''Glee'' as Jesse St. James, the male lead of rival glee club, Vocal Adrenaline for eight of the back nine episodes. He also serves as a love interest for his former ''Spring Awakening'' co-star Lea Michele's character, Rachel Berry. ''Newsweek'' critic Ramin Satoodeh stated that Groff was unconvincing in the role of the straight Jesse ("he seems more like your average theater queen, a better romantic match for Kurt than Rachel"). Groff's performance was defended by ''Glee'' creator Ryan Murphy and guest star Kristin Chenoweth, both of whom described Satoodeh's essay as homophobic; it was also condemned by GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios.

In August 2010 he made his West End debut in ''Deathtrap'', at the Noel Coward Theatre in a production directed by Matthew Warchus.

Groff was set to return to ''Glee'' at the end of the second season, where his character tried to ask Rachel for forgiveness. He returned to the show on May 10 to finish out the remainder of the second season.

Other appearances

In February 2011, Jonathan appeared in two promotional videos for his brother Dave's commercial kitchen supply site, WEBstaurantstore.com. The first was one promoting the company's facebook fanpage and contests for its customers. The second was a special Valentine's Day video in which he made a martini and promoted products sold on the site. The martini he made was a special recipe created especially for Jonathan called the "She Loves Me Martini", for the video by Dee Brun, "The Cocktail Deeva".

Rutina Wesley (born February 1, 1979) is an American film, stage, and television actress best known for her role as Tara Thornton on the HBO series ''True Blood''.

Early life

Wesley was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wesley's father, Ivery Wheeler, is a professional tap dancer and her mother, Cassandra Wesley, was a showgirl. She attended high school at the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts. She studied dance at Simba Studios and the West Las Vegas Arts Center.

While at the Las Vegas Academy, Wesley missed several other auditions for college training programs and was finally accepted by the University of Evansville in Indiana. She was hesitant in joining the university because of a lack of minorities in the state. After earning her undergraduate degree in Theatre Performance, her grandmother suggested that she do a nursing course, but Wesley insisted on pursuing her education. She joined the Juilliard School in 2001 and graduated in May 2005, which included a summer spent at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At Juilliard, she and her later co-star Nelsan Ellis became close friends.

Career

In December 2006, Wesley was featured in David Hare's Broadway play ''The Vertical Hour''. In 2007, Wesley also appeared in The Public Theatre production of ''In Darfur'' by playwright Winter Miller, co-starring Heather Raffo, Aaron Lohr among others.

Wesley had a minor role in 2005 film ''Hitch'', which was edited in the final cut. However, she made her on screen debut in the lead role in 2007 film ''How She Move'', from British director Ian Iqbal Rashid. The character Raya Green, who enters a step dancing competition to secure funds for her education, was inspired by Tony Manero, portrayed by John Travolta in ''Saturday Night Fever''. Prior to the shooting of the film, Wesley underwent a five-week dance rehearsal period. Portraying a woman of Jamaican descent, she also took dialect coaching for the role. Wesley auditioned for the role Tara Thornton in the HBO series ''True Blood'' in 2007 and secured the part after creator Alan Ball chose her because "[she] was the first person who showed [Tara's] vulnerable side".

In June 2011, it was reported that Wesley will star in the biopic ''Left To Tell'' based on Immaculée Ilibagiza's bestselling memoir about the Rwandan Genocide.

Personal life

Wesley divides her time between Los Angeles and Astoria, Queens. She is married to Jacob Fishel, an actor.

Jason Matthew Biggs (born May 12, 1978) is an American actor who is best known for his role as Jim Levenstein in the ''American Pie'' trio of teen comedy films.

Personal life

Biggs was born in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, the son of Angela, a nurse, and Gary Biggs, a shipping company manager. He grew up in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and attended Hasbrouck Heights High School there. Biggs had success in athletics while in high school, both in tennis and in wrestling.

Biggs is Italian American and Roman Catholic; he has mentioned in interviews that he is often cast as an explicitly or implicitly Jewish character, as he was in ''American Pie'' (other examples include his roles in ''Saving Silverman'' and ''Anything Else''), though he is not Jewish himself.

In January 2008, he became engaged to his ''My Best Friend's Girl'' co-star, actress Jenny Mollen; they married on April 23, 2008. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Career

Biggs began acting at the age of five. In 1992, he made his television debut in the short lived Fox network series ''Drexell's Class''. He also made a one-off HBO special, ''The Fotis Sevastakis Story'', but due to licencing arguments, it was never aired. That same year, Biggs debuted on Broadway in ''Conversations with My Father'', which helped pave the way for Biggs to participate in the daytime soap opera, ''As the World Turns''. He was nominated for the award of Best Younger Actor at the daytime Emmy Awards for his role.

Biggs attended New York University briefly from 1996–1997, but soon afterwards, he returned to pursue his acting. And so he would be seen again in another short lived television series, 1997's ''Camp Stories''. He then starred in ''American Pie'', which went on to become an international hit that has spawned two sequels (also starring Biggs) and four spinoffs (that did not star Biggs). After that, Biggs accepted starring roles in movies such as ''Loser'' in 2000, and others. In 2004-2005 season Biggs portrayed an Orthodox Jew in Daniel Goldfarb's comedy, ''Modern Orthodox'', staged at Dodger Stages theater in New York City. In 2006, Biggs was seen in the MTV reality show ''Blowin' Up'' with Jamie Kennedy and Stu Stone which led to his participation in a hip-hop recording with Bay Area rapper E-40. Jason returned to the stage in the fall of 2008 in Howard Korder's ''Boys' Life'' at New York City's Second Stage Theatre.

Biggs appears in the film ''Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'' (2001) as himself playing Silent Bob in the movie within the movie scene, opposite James Van Der Beek as Jay, in which he is referred to as "the guy who fucked the pie" (referring to his infamous scene in ''American Pie''). He then goes into an angry rant about how he's tired of it being the only thing he is known for, despite numerous other films under his belt. He has appeared in several other films, including Texas Rangers, Scary Movie and ''Over Her Dead Body''.

He is reprising his role as Jim Levenstein in the upcoming "American Reunion" set to be released on April 6th 2012.

Seann William Scott (born October 3, 1976) is an American actor and comedian. He is most widely known for having played Steve Stifler in the ''American Pie'' series of teen sex comedy films. He is also known for his roles in the films ''Final Destination'', ''Road Trip'', ''Dude, Where's My Car?'', ''Evolution'', ''The Rundown'', ''The Dukes of Hazzard'', ''Role Models'', and ''Cop Out''.

Early life

Scott, the youngest of seven children, was born in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, the son of Patricia Anne (''née'' Simons), a homemaker, and William Frank Scott, a factory worker. His oldest brother Daniel, while at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, helped found ''The Onion'', and was among the earliest writers for it. He was inspired to become an actor while working at the local movie theater and seeing all the movies he could watch free. He graduated from Crestview Elementary School and Park High School. After he graduated from high school, he attended Glendale Community College. His first professional gig was on television in the music video for "Hole in My Soul" by Aerosmith. Soon after the video, he appeared in ''Chad's World'', a gay-themed TV show broadcast on the Web by the short-lived Digital Entertainment Network.

Career

Scott's first commercial success came with the 1999 movie ''American Pie'' as Steve Stifler, a role he reprised in two sequels, ''American Pie 2'' and ''American Wedding''. For his supporting role in the first film, Scott was reportedly paid $8,000. Though the character of "Steve Stifler" propelled Scott into the public consciousness, the actor has mentioned in a variety of interviews his fear of typecasting, which has led him to choose to play different types of characters post-''American Pie'' such as hapless nerd role in the film ''Final Destination'' and a harmless stoner character in ''Dude, Where's My Car?'' alongside Ashton Kutcher. He made an appearance in Kevin Smith's ''Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'' as a guitar-playing animal rights activist and has a starring part as a police officer in ''Southland Tales'', where he re-unites with fellow actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, with whom he had previously worked in ''The Rundown''. Scott hosted the MTV Movie Awards 2003 alongside Justin Timberlake. The two performed several skits, including scenes from ''The Matrix Reloaded'', which are on ''The Matrix Reloaded'' DVD. He has also hosted ''Saturday Night Live'' and appeared as a guest co-host on ''Live with Regis and Kelly''. He co-starred in ''Cop Out'', Kevin Smith's action comedy, alongside Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan.

He is set to reprise his role as Steve Stifler in the upcoming sequel of the ''American Pie'' primary film series titled ''American Reunion'' set to be released on April 6, 2012.

Personal life

On March 16, 2011, Sean William Scott was admitted to rehab, citing “health and personal issues.” His reps neglected to confirm any details about the decision, including the location of the facility. But they did say, “He appreciates the support of his many fans at this time.”

On April 13, 2011, it was reported that Scott had successfully completed a treatment program.
