The Sex Machineguns are a Japanese speed metal band. Their music is characterized by a heavy focus on bass as well as extremely fast guitar and bass solos. The band rides an image of being "Shock Rockers" by wearing crazy, exotic outfits like Visual Kei bands (although this image has been toned down, especially since 2003 when the long-term bassist Noisy left the band), singing about violence (as shown in the song "FamiResuBombaa") and naming one of their live DVDs "SM Show" in a very intentional allusion to BDSM. The Timers - FM Tokyo
The Timers - FM Tokyo (1989.10.14) In 1988 rock band 'RC Succession" (RCサクセション) led by Imawano Kiyoshirou (忌野清志郎) announced an album called 'Covers'. However, Toshiba EMI didn't publish the album. Toshiba EMI did a press release giving the reason "The above-mentioned work cannot be put on the market because it was too wonderful". The true reason was pressure from the parent company Toshiba because the album contained an anti-nuclear song. At the time Toshiba was developing a nuclear plant. A band consisiting of 4 mysterious masked people debuted at the rock event held at Fujikyu Highland in Summer 1988. Zerry (vocals & guitar), Toppi (guitar), Bobby (bass), Po (drums). The same summer they performed at a charity concert and performed the song Gizensha (Hypocrite), an anti-war song. The event was broadcast live on NHK and caused a controversy. "Covers" was released by Kitty Records (1988.08) and became a large hit, but NHK and Tokyo FM refused to broadcast any of the album. In addition, 'Tanima no Uta' (Ravine Song) is banned from FM Sendai and Tokyo FM, and "Doboku Sagyouin Blues" (Construction Worker Blues) was banned by Tokyo FM. The reason for the banning is not known. Punk rock band Timers, led by Kiyoshirou as "Zerry" perform on the show Yoru no Hit Studio. The second song in their set was supposed to be Gizensha but they deviated from their plan and sang this song instead!

(formerly , is one of Japan's leading music companies. It became a wholly owned subsidiary of British music company EMI Group Ltd. in June 30, 2007 after Toshiba sold off its previous 45% stake. The current CEO and president is San-e Ichii.
History
The company was founded on October 1, 1960 as . From 1962, it licensed Columbia (UK) titles for release in Japan. After an injection of capital by Capitol EMI, EMI acquired 50% of the company in October 1973, and the name was changed to Toshiba EMI Limited. On October 3, 1994, the equity ratio of the company was changed, in which EMI obtained 55% with Toshiba owning the remaining 45%. On June 30, 2007, Toshiba Corporation sold the remaining 45% stake in the company to EMI, giving EMI full ownership of the company. The name was then changed to EMI Music Japan, reflecting Toshiba's divestiture from the business.
