One witness said the killer said 'Wallah', an Arabic slang term for 'I swear to God', before plunging the knife into his victim. One friend wrote on Twitter: "Naaa man! I cant believe Seydou got stabbed down Oxford st! Only this mornin he was sayin how everythin happens by the will of Allah." Seydou Diarrassouba, 18, was knifed in the heart after a fight broke out in a trainer store as the two groups were on a shoplifting spree on a packed Oxford Street. The victim was a member of the notorious London street gang ABM, which stands for 'All 'Bout Money', and the killer was believed to have been involved with the rival 031 Bloods. Territorial clashes between the two South London gangs have claimed several lives since 2007. The 18 year-old, named online as Seydou, was attacked in broad daylight at a branch of the trainer store Foot Locker while it was full of shoppers. Witnesses said he had been stabbed in the left side of his belly and described seeing his final moments as armed policemen who were the first to the scene tried to revive him. He was treated by paramedics on the pavement outside the shop, just by Bond Street Underground station, but was pronounced dead at 2.30pm. He became the 15th young person to be killed on London's streets this year. A police cordon was set up to keep members of the public away from the crime scene, on Britain's best-know high street on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

Fred Nile anti-gay march on Oxford St, Sydney October 1989
Fred Nile anti-gay march on Oxford St, Sydney October 1989
Sydney, Australia, October 2nd, 1989. Anti-gay campaigner Reverend Fred Nile led a march of some 1000 "christians" along Oxford St, the traditional route of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, ending at a stage, PA system and rally at Taylor Square. The marchers were met by a considerably larger counter-protest by the gay and lesbian community and their supporters. Apologies for bad TV reception in some sections!!! These are four TV news reports about the action. Despite the suggestions of some of the TV editorial, the counter-protest was predominantly a peaceful, humourous response to a direct provocation. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (an order of gay male nuns) literally rolled out a giant red carpet for Fred and his marchers. Fred Nile masks were handed out to the counter protestors, and chants such as "2-4-6-8, are you sure your priest is straight?" were taught to all. Fred had promoted his event as a "cleansing march", and many street signs on Taylor Square were wrapped in plastic "Glad Wrap" (aka "cling wrap). My favourite protest sign was one held behind Fred's head, while he was on stage, that said "People who have wet dreams should be castrated!". Photographer Jamie Dunbar, then working for the gay paper the "Sydney Star Observer", was on Fred's stage at Taylor Square capturing the event, but was suddenly overcome with anger and grabbed the microphone - this appears in several of the news reports. (I spoke to Jamie about this at some stage). At the time ...

Oxford Street: London's most dangerous street
Oxford Street: London's most dangerous street
According to the London Assembly (cf. Streets Ahead Report, 2010) accident rates on Oxford Street are 35 times the average of all other London streets. Why? Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that TfL allows 300 buses per hour to operate at up to 30 mph next to over 200 million pedestrians per year?

Man Stabbed To Death in Oxford Street - Seydou Aka Nutz (Rest In Peace)
Man Stabbed in Oxford Street, 18 Seydou Diarrassouba Aka Nutz. The victim died outside the Foot Locker sports shop on Oxford Street, near the junction with Stratford Place. Police said they were called to the scene at about 13:45 GMT. Eleven people were arrested and part of the street, near Bond Street Tube, was closed. Det Ch Insp Mark Dunne said there appeared to have been two groups of young people "opposing each other". The incident happened as tens of thousands of people hunted for bargains in the area's shops, during what was a busy day for Boxing Day sales across the UK. Police said there had been a second stabbing on Oxford Street in the evening, in which a 21-year-old man was injured in the thigh, but they said it was too early to confirm whether or not the two incidents were connected. Weapons recovered However, Insp Bruce Middlemiss, the duty officer for police in Westminster, said: "They are a similar sort of circumstances, youths, possibly from the same south London area." Det Ch Insp Dunne, of the Metropolitan Police's homicide command, said there was no suggestion the earlier, fatal incident was gang related, but he was "not going to discount it". He said it appeared a weapon had been involved which "may well have been a knife". Det Ch Insp Mark Dunne, of the Met Police's homicide command Det Ch Insp Mark Dunne has urged witnesses to come forward "A number of weapons have been recovered from that scene, whether I have got the murder weapon I don't know ...

Teenager stabbed to death at Oxford Street Boxing Day sales was a shoplifter involved in gang feud. Seydou Diarrassouba died of single stab wound to the heart after Foot Locker attack. The victim appears in a homemade rap video in which he talks about guns and killing. A known gangster, he was facing trial over charges of robbery and assault by beating in relation to an alleged attack in September. On Boxing Day he is believed to have left his home on a council estate in Mitcham, South London, with other members of ABM with the intention of using the sales crush as cover for shoplifting. But the gang ran into their rivals and violence that is usually restricted to deprived areas of London boiled over in front of crowds of shoppers, tourists and families. Sportswear store Foot Locker became the battleground when the college student was knifed through the heart before staggering outside and collapsing in a pool of blood. ______________________________________________________ A Mexican (an undocumented Democrat), a Black, a Muslim and a Redneck were walking together on a beach when the Black stumbled over a bottle in the sand.
