Corsica
Corsica
Ferries to Corsica: ferriescorsica.in Corsica is an island in the Mediterranean Sea. It is located west of Italy, southeast of the French mainland, and north of the island of Sardinia. Corsica is one of the 26 régions of France, although strictly speaking Corsica is designated as a "territorial collectivity" (collectivité territoriale) by law. As a territorial collectivity, it enjoys greater powers than other French régions, but for the most part its status is quite similar. Corsica is referred to as a "région" in common speech, and is almost always listed among the other régions of France. Although the island is separated from the continental mainland by the Ligurian Sea and is much closer to the Italian than to the French mainland, politically Corsica is part of Metropolitan France. It was once briefly an independent Corsican Republic, until being incorporated into France in 1768. Corsica is famed as the birthplace of Napoléon Bonaparte. His ancestral home, Casa Buonaparte, is located there. ( source Wikipedia )

Ajaccio, Corsica, France - 22nd August, 2011
Ajaccio, Corsica, France - 22nd August, 2011
Ajaccio is a commune on the island of Corsica in France. It is the capital and largest city of the region of Corsica and the prefecture of the department of Corse-du-Sud. Ajaccio is located on the west coast of the island of Corsica, 210 nautical miles (390 km) southeast of Marseille. It occupies a sheltered position at the foot of wooded hills on the northern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio. Ostensibly Napoleon Bonaparte (Nabulione Buonaparte) was born at Ajaccio in the same year as the Battle of Ponte Novu, 1769. The Bonapartes at the time had a modest four-story home in town (now a museum known as Casa Buonaparte). This video features views of Ajaccio's beach, the town streets, buildings, architecture, fortress, railway station, port and harbour. The video also features the Cruise Ships Aida, The Thomson Destiny and Mariner of the Seas, as well as the departure from Ajaccio Harbour and the views over the Mediterranean Sea Westwards towards the setting sun.

Corsica Jump
Corsica Jump
Just jumping some free cars that i got! I forgot to unhook the airbag in the Corsica and it blew up in my face. that is the first time i have ever encountered an airbag. i removed the driver side airbag from the van but not the passenger side and it did indeed go off. i didn't think that little jump with the van was enough to set off an airbag either. AIRBAGS ARE DANGEROUS HA. if you are ever going to jump a car make sure you disable the airbag! the jump with the Corsica was defiantly the farthest i have jumped with a vehicle. i would like to thank my camera men Seth Pust and Bradly Denson for recording. I would also like to thank my girlfriend Stephanie Wood for helping me get the cars ready for this day. recorded on 3/31/10

Tino Rossi, Tristesse
Tino Rossi, Tristesse
Song Tristesse sung by French star Tino Rossi. Tino Rossi (April 29, 1907 -- September 26, 1983) was a singer and film actor. Born Constantino Rossi in Ajaccio, Corsica, France, he became a tenor of French cabaret and one of the great romantic idols of his time. Gifted with an operatic voice, a "Latin Lover" persona made him a movie star as well. Over his career, Rossi made hundreds of records and appeared in more than 25 films, the most notable of which was the 1953 production, Si Versailles m'était conté directed by Sacha Guitry. His romantic ballads had women swooning and his art-songs by Jules Massenet (1842-1912), Reynaldo Hahn (1875-1947), and other composers helped draw sold out audiences wherever he performed.
