The winners will be announced at a presentation dinner on May 18th as part of this year's Sydney Writer's Festival. Don't forget to check back here for updates!
FAW Christina Stead Award winner announced
Our biggest congratulations go to Mardi McConnochie for winning the 2012 FAW Christina Stead Award for her novel, The Voyagers. Now in its 25th year, the FAW Christina Stead Award is presented annually for work of fiction first published in Australia. Well done, Mardi!
2012 Logie Nomination
Tiffiny Hall, youngest trainer on The Biggest Loser, has been put forward for a Logie nomination for Most Popular New Female. Tiffiny’s newest book is Fatloss for Good, out now. Tiff’s fiction series featuring Roxy Ran launches later this year.

Australian Romance Readers Awards winner
Shattered Sky by Helene Young has won the Favourite Romantic Suspense Award at the Australian Romance Readers Awards 2011, presented in Sydney. Congratulations, Helene.
ACCTA Awards winner
Did you see the ACCTA Awards? We were thrilled to see The Slap, based on Christos Tsiolkas’ bestselling novel (Allen & Unwin), win five awards including best telefeature, best screenplay, best direction, best lead actor and best supporting actor.
Congratulations Amy Espeseth!
Congratulations to Amy Espeseth, whose novel Trouble Telling the Weather has won the 2012 CAL Scribe Fiction Prize. Melbourne-resident Espeseth’s novel unfolds through the viewpoints of five characters who live in Siren,Wisconsin, and share a difficult past. Trouble Telling the Weather will be published by Scribe later this year.

Kasey takes home (yet another) ARIA
Congratulations to Kasey Chambers whose album, Little Bird, won the Best Country Music Album at the 2011 ARIAs. This is Kasey's eighth Solo ARIA Award. Well done Kasey!

The Very Bad Book by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton has continued its winning streak following the recent Kids Reading Oz Choice (KROC) Awards for the Northern Territory and Canberra's Own Outstanding List (COOL) Awards. The Very Bad Book won its category at both presentations! How many accolades can one book receive? Great work guys!
