Tod's Group is an Italian company which produces shoes and other leather goods, and is presided over by businessman Diego Della Valle. It is most famous for its driving shoes.

Dorino Della Valle started the shoemaking business out of a basement in the late 1920s. Diego Della Valle, Dorino's elder son, expanded the workshop and turned it into a factory that started manufacturing shoes for American department stores in the 1970s. Diego brought in innovative marketing strategies in the early 1980s, kept the handmade manufacturing process and went on to create brands of lifestyle named Tod's, Hogan and Fay. Roger Vivier, maker of high luxury shoes was acquired in the mid–1990s and developed starting the beginning of this Millennium. In 2003, Italian designer Bruno Frisoni was hired as Roger Vivier's Creative Director.

The Della Valle family, which owns a vast majority of the luxury maker also has stakes in RCS MediaGroup, the football team Fiorentina and other companies. All members of the family were born in the middle Italian region of Marche, and many of them continue to reside there.

Ferdinando Maria Brachetti Peretti (born in Rome on January 13, 1960), from the wealthy Peretti family, is CEO of an Italian company, API Group. He is married to Her Royal Highness the Princess and Landgravine Mafalda Margherita von Hessen, daughter of Moritz, Landgrave of Hesse.

His father, Count Aldo Maria Brachetti Peretti, Cav. Del Lavoro (Italian decoration given to important figures in industry), was for thirty years, until September 2007, head of the family Group “API” (Anonima Petroli Italiana), founded by his maternal grandfather Cav. Del Lavoro Ferdinando Peretti; his mother, Mila, National Inspectress of the Italian Red Cross, boasts of a career of over 30 years in the Red Cross and is the only woman in Italy to carry the military grade of General. After having lived together for several years, in 2000 he married Her Royal Highness the Princess and Landgravine Mafalda Margherita von Hessen, daughter of Their Highnesses Prince Moritz of Hesse and Princess Tatiana of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. After graduating from high school with a diploma in classical studies, he enrolled in the School of Business and Economics at the University of Rome (“La Sapienza”). During his studies he served his military service as an official in the Carabinieri in 1980-1981 in Naples.
