DNA and RNA - Part 2
027 - DNA and RNA - Part 2 Paul Andersen continues his description of DNA and RNA. He begins with the structure of DNA and RNA and moves into the process of DNA Replication. He also describes the central dogma of biology explaining how DNA is transcribed to mRNA and is finally translated into proteins. He also introduces genetic engineering and explains how transformation is used to create insulin.

RNA interference (RNAi): by Nature Video
RNA interference (RNAi): by Nature Video
RNA interference (RNAi) is an important process, used by many different organisms to regulate the activity of genes. This animation explains how RNAi works and introduces the two main players: small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs). We take you on an audio-visual journey, diving into a cell to show how genes are transcribed to make messenger RNA (mRNA) and how RNAi can silence specific mRNAs to stop them from making proteins. The animation is based on the latest research, to give you an up-to-date view. If you'd like to know more about the structures and processes you see in this video, check out the accompanying slideshow: www.nature.com

mRNA Splicing
NDSU Virtual Cell Animations Project animation 'mRNA Splicing'. For more information please see vcell.ndsu.edu Before being used in translation, mRNA must be spliced. During splicing, introns are removed and the translatable exons that remain are spliced into a single strand of mRNA.

www.exploringinfinity.com Click The Link If YOU Want Weird Things To Happen RnA Drops Review - Weird Stuff Is Happening... www.youtube.com After trying RnA Drops I HAVE TO do a review... This stuff is weird, but I like it. I got a trial bottle for free from a friend who wanted me to give them a try and see what I thought, so I decided to give them a go. When I first started watching youtube and looking for more information about RnA Drops I started to think that it was a total hoax. The videos from "iON" and his friends trying to explain the drops made me think they were just lunatics involved in some RnA Drops scam, but I got the drops for free and said I would try them, so I decided to try them anyway. I wouldn't have ever bought a bottle of the drops if I hadn't been given one for free to try first, because to me it just didn't seem legit after watching the youtube videos and reading around the RNA Drops websites... But since it was free I tried them, and I'm glad I did. The weird part is that after being on the drops for about 2 weeks I started to not really need much sleep. Ive been staying awake for about 30 hours before getting tired. Most of the time this would probably be considered a bad thing, except that during the time awake I am more productive than I normally am without RnA drops and WITH sleep! There's nothing else I can think of that would be causing me to not need as much sleep other than the RnA Drops... Weird.. But something that I can probably get ...

Drake - I'm Still Fly (Parody) ''DNA, RNA''
Senior biology extra credit video project. Chorus x2(Intro): DNA, RNA, And I dare anybody to try to cut my strands There are 5 carbon sugars, phosphate and a base And these are nucleotides Verse 1: DNA, Is responsible for everything you made of There are you two strands that you should be really aware of Hydrogen bonds between each base, being Adenine to Thymine and Guanine to Cytosine Complementary base pairing Lined up as 5 prime to 3 prime This is not a crime Its something called anti-parallel Going around like a freaking carousel Helicase, Heli-what? Helicase This is only first base... It unzips the deoxyribose nucleic acids If you really see DNA is not flaccid It is really resembles a ladder-like structure So dont get too mad And just listen to your instructor Chorus x2 Verse 2: Complementary, Base pairing occurs Dont blink because itll all be in a blur Theres something called DNA polymerase Its the boss of this all, it does most of the work It does several things, including synthesizing and catalyzing Oh my God, its so mesmerizing Synthesizing the pieces of this puzzle is just so freaking compromising As the two new strands form there is a mother and daughter strand Making it a semi-conservative land Proof reading is also what it does and what it do Its barely ever wrong, but if it is Some mutations might be really good for you: Like E. coli to digest citrate And Antibiotic resistance And finally Human resistance to that thing called HIV Chorus x2 (outro)
