Quilted is a team of six energetic thinkers and reflective doers.

Ben Mauer is a veteran web designer passionate about using technology and design to bring about sustainable change on a human scale, and increased participation in the systems that shape our everyday lives. Previous to Quilted, he managed web development and communications for the ground-breaking research project, the Information Technology, War and Peace Project at Brown University, and worked a few stints at Wired Digital/Terra Lycos in San Francisco and various ad agencies.

Colin Sagan is committed to making clear, accessible and, above all, useful media that supports cultural producers and activists guided by a structural understanding of power. From his background as production coordinator and designer for several nationally and internationally distributed magazines, Colin found Drupal as a powerful tool for designing collaborative systems to facilitate vivid and effective communication.

Erik Hopp has designed websites for twelve years, emphasizing creative approaches to social justice work. He gets excited about providing appropriate media tools to make organizations more efficient and effective and fostering participatory democratic social structures. Erik has extensive Drupal design and deployment experience, having been a hired hand for front-end development on many occasions since first working with Drupal in 2001.

kiran nigam is an educator, facilitator, and artist committed to building movements for social and economic justice. Involved in the co-op movement for over a decade, kiran has worked with NASCO, the USFWC, and AORTA. She was inducted into the 2010 NASCO Cooperative Hall of Fame for her contribution to cooperative education and training. kiran is passionate about using her background in facilitation and communication to help build healthy and sustainable organizations.

Raeanne Young is passionate about problem-solving and loves geeking out over efficient systems and effective processes for getting things done. Prior to Quilted she worked in technology policy promoting digital rights at the Center for Democracy and Technology and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and in communications and campaign strategy with Smartmeme. She enjoys working on inspiring social collaborative projects and has a penchant for all things open source.

Rocket is enthusiastic about developing websites that are accessible, well-designed, and support social justice. She enjoys programming of all shapes, collaborative design, and creative solutions. She is also a graduate of MIT's Comparative Media Studies Program and designs games that encourage education, collaboration, social awareness, and critical thinking. Her background is in computer science and she works primarily with Drupal, Ruby on Rails, WordPress and various game engines.
