Cetaceans of the GBR HD
Cetaceans of the GBR HD
Watch Pacific Wild's latest release -- a beautiful short animation focusing on the whales of the Great Bear Rainforest. Produced by Picture Cloud film & animation of Victoria BC this visually stunning and thought provoking animation explores the dire threats facing whales by acoustic ship pollution. The return of Humpback and other species of cetaceans to the waters of the Great Bear Rainforest is a welcome event since the dark days when whale killing ships travelled our waters. But this may be short lived if oil tankers begin moving Alberta tar sands crude through the Great Bears fragile waters. The release of this animation is timely. On May 2nd the Canadian public go back to the voting booths and only one federal party supports oil tankers in the Great Bear Rainforest. Never has one election meant so much to our coastal environment. Watch this short animation and forward on to others.

Cetacean Evolution Part I: Systematics Intro
Cetacean Evolution Part I: Systematics Intro
My, I never thought I'd have to jump through so many hoops to get a narrated powerpoint presentation converted into video :-P Part I of a series on cetacean evolutionary history. I start with a basic introduction to systematics because the rest of the series very much depends on understanding the concepts I present here. Some of you that know this stuff already will probably find it tedious, but at the least I hope it'll be a good refresher.

Cetacean Evolution Part III: Archaeocetes
Part 3 of a series on cetacean evolution. Please watch parts 1 and 2 if you haven't - I use terminology in this video some of you may be unfamiliar with, but that I define in the first two parts. Lots of information packed into this one, but don't worry - I'll have a list of all the references on the next/last video.

Cetacean Evolution Part II: Cetartiodactyla
Part 2 of a series on cetacean evolutionary history. Thank you and welcome to all new subscribers! I hope you enjoy this series and the rest of my channel! Quick note: I would just like to make it clear that the focus of this series is mostly on whale origins and archaeocetes, or ancient whales, and is less focused on the evolution of the modern, extant families. This is for a couple of reasons: a) the evolution of cetaceans from their non-cetacean ancestors is much more interesting than their later diversification, imo :-) and b) the diversification of modern cetacean families is currently less well-understood/resolved.

Metaphysics, Contacts, & Cetaceans P2
Date: 01-10-11 Host: George Noory Guests: Patricia Cori, John R. Lott Author, contactee, and international speaker Patricia Cori shared her metaphysical interpretations about the universe, cetaceans such as dolphins and whales, Atlantis, and humanity's path. "My perception is the life that we're in now, this physical reality, is like a tube, and we come in as light beings, like full spirits...we go through this tube of 3D illusion...and then we pass back out [upon death] and return to light...source," she explained, adding that as spirit becomes more evolved, it becomes less dense. Humans are multidimensional beings, she said, citing as an example the dream state, in which we experience another plane of reality. In addition to ongoing ET disclosure, she interestingly suggested that cetaceans "are going to be recognized as conscious people," and have higher levels of consciousness and compassion than humans, and communicate with ETs who are in underwater craft. Regarding ancient Atlantis (which she said part of is now in the Azores), the 13 original crystal skulls were united to form a galactic computer there. She also touched on her channeled communications with Sirian beings on the "6th dimension," who shared a message for humanity with her-- that we are galactic citizens and our time of being alone is coming to an end. Cori also expounded on such topics as immortality, crop circles, and 2012 (which she does not believe is an Armageddon scenario). Gun Laws First hour ...

Save Whales, Dolphins, Porpoise / Cetaceans & May They All Swim Free & Protected Forever !
Lisbeth Scott's lovely voice singing the song The Edge Of Heaven, used in the movie The Wildest Dream. I made this slideshow because my wildest dream is we the people of this world finally demand Japan, Norway and Iceland stop whaling and all Cetaceans can live in peace and without fear from us. 25 long years ago when the masses stood up and said no more to whaling was a wonderful thing. But now we have to make good on that wish and make it a reality. We have to realize how intelligent, precious and important they all are and how wrong any hunting or keeping them captive truly is. By far the most magnificent creatures in our oceans and really on our entire planet I feel. Please let us make a start in protecting our treasured wildlife, and let it begin with them. So many species of Cetaceans are in desperate need of our help. We have already let the Yangtze River Dolphin ,also known as the Baiji and nicknamed - Goddess of the Yangtze become lost forever and we did not even blink an eye. I believe if we can accomplish saving them we can accomplish saving anything,,,,including ourselves !
