Gegard Mousasi (born Geghard Movsesian on August 1, 1985) is an Armenian-Dutch mixed martial artist and kickboxer. He is fighting out of Team Jurojin in Leiden, Netherlands and is a member of Russian Red Devil Sport Club and Netherlands' Golden Glory. He is the current Dream Light Heavyweight champion, former Dream Middleweight Champion, Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion and the former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion. His last loss was to Muhammed Lawal at Strikeforce: Nashville. Mousasi is notable for having finished 29 of his 31 professional wins by knockout or submission. He holds notable wins over Hector Lombard, Evangelista Santos, Dennis Kang, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Melvin Manhoef, Ronaldo Souza, Mark Hunt, and Renato Sobral, as well as notable K-1 victories over Kyotaro and Musashi. Mousasi is currently ranked as the #9 light heavyweight fighter in the world by MMAWeekly.
In February 2010, Mousasi left M-1 Global Management. Mousasi was quoted as saying "After careful consideration, I have decided that it is in my best interest to part ways with M-1 Global," Mousasi wrote in the e-mail. "During the time I spent under their wing, M-1 Global, as a promoter and management company, allowed me to achieve many great things. I appreciate all they have done for me. My management is being taken care of by someone close to me."
MMA career
Early life and career
Mousasi was born in Tehran, Iran to ethnic Armenian parents during the Iran-Iraq War. At the age of 4, Mousasi and his family relocated to Leiden, Netherlands, where he finished grade school before developing an interest in martial arts.He started practicing Judo at the age of 8 and later boxing at age 15; twelve months later he became the amateur boxing champion of the Netherlands with a 12-1 record, earning 12 knockouts. He then switched to kickboxing and then eventually to mixed martial arts. There he fought and submitted K-1 veteran Melvin Manhoef in the semi-finals before meeting up with submission specialist Ronaldo Souza in the final. Mousasi defeated Souza by an upkick after being taken down by the Brazilian, thus becoming the first Dream Middleweight Champion and 2008 Middleweight Grand Prix tournament winner.
ADCC Championships
In November 21, 2008, ADCC Europe president Marko Leistén confirmed the signing of Mousasi has one of 2009's ADCC championships. it was rumored he would fight in the under 88KG. For unknown reasons Mousasi never participated in the ADCC 2009 championships.
K-1 Dynamite!! 2008
In somewhat of a surprise to the MMA world, Mousasi agreed to take on Japanese K-1 fighter Musashi in a K-1 rules fight at Dynamite!! 2008. Being an open weight fight Mousasi weighed in at 97.8 kg/216 lb, all but confirming his desire to move up in weight classes. Mousasi stated after winning the Dream Middleweight Grand Prix he would no longer fight at middleweight due to the large weight cut. Mousasi was the rank outsider to win the match against the more experienced Musashi, but came out fast and scored a first round KO. Mousasi went undefeated in 2008, going 6–0 in MMA, and 1–0 in K-1.
M-1 Global
Gegard Mousasi next made an appearance at M-1 Global's Breakthrough event at August 28, 2009, where he sparred former Pride Heavyweight and current WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko in an exhibition match, where Mousasi was defeated with a straight Armbar.
Dream Super Hulk Grand Prix
In interviews from early 2009, Mousasi stated the weight he put on after winning Dream's middleweight tournament was too much for him to cut back down to middleweight and that his next fights would be at light-heavyweight and eventually heavyweight instead.Then he signed for a place at Dream's openweight Grand Prix, the Super Hulk Grand Prix, being schedule to face Mark Hunt in the opening round. Mousasi submitted Hunt in the first round of the Super Hulk Grand Prix at ''Dream 9''. Mousasi was then expected to face Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou but he had to step down due to injury.
Affliction
Mousasi was set to fight Renato "Babalu" Sobral at ''Affliction: Trilogy'' on August 1, 2009, but the event was cancelled after losing its main event 10 days prior to the event. It was originally planned for him to face Vitor Belfort at that event, but there was a disagreement between both fighters over which weight class the fight would be fought at.
Strikeforce and Dream
On Monday July 27, 2009 it was announced that the cancelled bout between Sobral and Mousasi would take place on the August 15 Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg card and the fight became a contest for the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight championship. Mousasi defeated Sobral via KO in the first round to become the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion. Mousasi would go on to win his second Strikeforce bout by TKO (strikes), three minutes and forty-three seconds into the 2nd round against Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou on November 7, 2009 at Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers.Mousasi quickly defeated journeyman Gary Goodridge under MMA rules at Dynamite!! 2009.
On April 17, 2010, Mousasi lost the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship belt in his first defense to Muhammed Lawal by way of unanimous judge's decision.
Mousasi was expected to face Mike Kyle on April 9, 2011 at Strikeforce 33. However, Kyle was forced off the card with an injury and was replaced by Keith Jardine. The fight resulted in a Draw (majority), mainly due to an illegal upkick which cost Mousasi a point in the first round; even though Mousasi outstruck Jardine 146 to 21 according to FightMetric. Regardless of the point deduction, many people(Including UFC president Dana White who wrote on his twitter "You've got to be $h*%ing me!" moments after the decision was announced and Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker who said that he felt that Mousasi had won the fight and was thinking of organizing a rematch) felt that Mousasi should have been the winner.
Dream Light Heavyweight Grand Prix
The 1st round took place at Dream.15, where Mousasi faced Jake O'Brien, who came overweight to their bout. Dream officials made it a catchweight fight, but allowed the fight to be part of the tournament. Mousasi won the fight early in the 1st round by submission via guillotine choke. In the final Mousasi faced Tatsuya Mizuno, Mousasi dominated the whole fight and finished the Japanese fighter in the 1st round by submission via rear naked choke.
K-1 Dynamite!! 2010
After a lot of speculation about Mousasi's opponent for 2010 New Year's Eve, Mousasi was set to face Kyotaro, the K-1 heavyweight champion, in a K-1 rules bout. The Armenian brought the fight to Kyotaro and in the second round Mousasi knocked the Japanese fighter down, almost finishing him. Mousasi then won a unanimous decision victory from the judges.
2012 Summer Olympics
It was revealed on January 31, 2011 that Mousasi was considering trying out for the 2012 Summer Olympics at the category of boxing. Mousasi will try to qualify himself through Netherlands qualifiers. His management said that it would make him a better fighter. Mousasi is already known in amateur boxing, being a former Netherlands amateur boxing champion.

Hiroshi Izumi ( born June 22, 1982 in Shimokita District Aomori) is a Japanese judoka and mixed martial artist.
He won the Men's -90kg category silver medal at the Athens Olympics in 2004 and the gold medal at the World judo championship games in Cairo, Egypt on 2005.
He made his mixed martial arts debut for the ''Sengoku'' promotion in September 2009 after signing with World Victory Road.

Gökhan "The Rebel" Saki (born October 8, 1983 in Schiedam, Netherlands) is a Turkish-Dutch heavyweight kickboxer, fighting out of Golden Glory Gym in Breda, Netherlands. He is two time Dutch and European Muay Thai champion, ''K-1 World GP 2006 in Amsterdam'' tournament finalist and ''K-1 World GP 2008 in Hawaii'' champion as the first ever Turkish fighter holding a K-1 tournament title.
Biography and career
Saki was born in Schiedam, a town located near Rotterdam, to a large family and rose there. He started practicing kickboxing at the age of 11 when he also began practicing soccer. He dropped out of school at the age of 14 for a reason related to his family, and quit playing soccer at the age of 16 because of his preference for kickboxing.Gokhan trained with Jan Pasztjerik for ten years, where he became Dutch, European and World Muay Thai champion within three years before moving to the Golden Glory in 2003. In 2006 Gokhan returned to Pasztjerik as he embarked on a joint production with Golden Glory and Pasztjerik. Training in Golden Glory with Cor Hemmers, Saki became a well known fighter. Even though to this day Gokhan considers Jan as the main influence who helped him develop to the fighter he is today.
Gokhan made his K-1 debut at the ''K-1 World GP 2006 in Amsterdam'' where he defeated Alexey Ignashov and Rani Berbachi but lost to Bjorn Bregy by first round KO in tournament finals.
Saki fought at the ''K-1 World GP 2008 in Hawaii''. He defeated Deutsch Pu'u, Rick Cheek and Randy Kim to become the champion and qualify for the Grand Prix final eliminations.
At the eliminations he fought New Zealand legend Ray Sefo. He won by a unanimous decision to qualify for his first ever Grand Prix. In the quarter finals he beat Ruslan Karaev by unanimous decision, however he was knocked out by the eventual champion, Remy Bonjasky in the semi finals by a jumping kick to the rib cage. Saki was the finalist at the ''K-1 Heavyweight tournament in Yokohama''. He knocked out Tyrone Spong in semis but was stopped in the finals by Keijiro Maeda.
On August the 2nd Saki suffered a knee injury against Pavel Zhuravlev. Because of the injury he could not participate in the 2009 Final Eliminations. However Gokhan was picked as a reserve fighter to face Peter Aerts in the first reserve fight at K-1 WGP Final. Saki lost his third consecutive decision loss against Aerts after three rounds.
In 2010 Gokhan recovered his shape, won 6 fights in a row and made his way to the 2010 K-1 World GP Final, by knocking out Frenchman Freddy Kemayo at the ''K-1 World Grand Prix 2010 in Seoul Final 16''. in the first round. On December 11, 2010, Gokhan Saki made his second appearance at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2010 Final.Saki faced Daniel Ghiţă in the quarter finals. After breaking his right hand in the fight, Saki won by 4-round decision. He then faced his teammate Alistair Overeem in the semis. Using only his left hand and his kicks, he managed to outpoint his larger opponent; knocking Overeem down with a spin kick that was not counted, although Alistair landed a heavy left kick to Saki's right elbow that was also broken in his quarter final fight. Saki lost the fight by TKO but gained huge respect for his heart and courage.
Saki then decided to participate in the 2011 United Glory World Series Tournament before he fought in the K-1 Grand Prix 2010 Final. He defeated Nikolaj Falin via bodyshot in the 3rd round of the quarter-finals. After recuperating from the injuries he sustained in the K-1 Grand Prix, he went on to defeat Wendell Roche in the United Golden Glory semi-finals on 19 March 2011, and then went on to win the tournament by defeating Brice Guidon on May 28, 2011.
Personal life
Saki holds dual Dutch and Turkish nationality, as his parents are immigrants from Turkey. He has stated that he respects Ramon Dekker, and referred to Fedor Emelianenko as his favorite fighter.

Hector Lombard (born February 2, 1978) is a Cuban-Australian mixed martial artist. Lombard was a Judo Olympian competing at the Sydney 2000 Olympic games, and is a multiple time national champion and world finalist. After 2000, Lombard began pursuing a career in mixed martial arts. Lombard is currently the middleweight champion of the Australian-based Cage Fighting Championship as well as currently being the middleweight champion of Bellator Fighting Championships.

Hector Lombard, a 4th degree black belt in Judo and former Olympic Judo competitor, emigrated to Queensland, Australia from Cuba. Lombard currently trains at the world-renowned American Top Team facility in Miami, Florida. He resides in Sydney, Australia, which he considers his second home after competing in the Olympics. Marcus "Conan" Silveira (ATT Head Coach) awarded Lombard with a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu following his victory at CFC 12.
PRIDE
In 2006, Lombard fought twice in Pride Fighting Championship, losing two unanimous decisions to Akihiro Gono and Gegard Mousasi. The only losses on his record to date.
Cage Fighting Championship
Lombard headlined the first Cage Fighting Championship show on July 28, 2007, where he fought top Australian fighter Kyle Noke. The result was a controversial draw. On November 23, 2007, Lombard defeated French Kickboxer and Actor Jean-François Lénogue to be the CFC Middleweight Champion. He has defended his title six times with the last title defense coming against Art Santore. Lombard next successfully defended his belt against UFC veteran Joe Doerksen at CFC 16 on March 25.
EliteXC
On April 18, 2008, EliteXC released a press statement citing the signing of Hector Lombard. His first opponent was scheduled to be Scott Smith in November, but the fight was later canceled after the collapse of the promotion.
Bellator Fighting Championships
On January 6, 2009, it was announced that Hector Lombard signed an exclusive agreement with Bellator Fighting Championships.He fought and defeated Virgil Lozano and Damien Stelly to make it to the finals and fight for the first Bellator middleweight championship belt. Lombard defeated Jared Hess via doctor stoppage in the fourth round to win the middleweight title. Lombard would later be matched up against Alexander Shlemenko, who won the second season middleweight tournament.
Lombard was scheduled to face former WEC Middleweight champion Paulo Filho in a non-title bout on May 13, 2010 at Bellator 18, but Filho pulled out of the bout on May 10 due to an alleged visa issue and was replaced by Jay Silva. Lombard scored the fastest knockout in Bellator history by recording a six second win, surpassing Eddie Sanchez and his ten second KO win over Jay White.
Lombard then faced former NFL player Herbert Goodman in a non-title fight on August 12, 2010 at Bellator 24. He won the fight via KO (Punches) in the first round.
On October 28, 2010 Lombard went on to defeat Alexander Shlemenko in a 1st season winner vs. a 2nd season winner matchup to retain the Bellator Middleweight Championship at Bellator 34. He also is the first man in Bellator history to successfully defend his title belt in any weight division. After the fight, Lombard called out Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Ronaldo Souza.
Lombard next fought Falaniko Vitale in a non-title bout at Bellator 44. He won via KO in third round, extending his win streak to 22 fights in a row with 1 draw.
