What's the most legitimate moment of bliss you've ever experienced from a game? (please use spoilers liberally)

It's a very polarizing game. From my experience (having played it from early 2004 until late 2007) you will simply love the game or think it is terrible. I say this because if you don't like it you will quit and never look back. If you love it you will play for days on end in spite of some near game breaking issues (many of which were eventually fixed, I'll add) because it just scratches this itch you didn't know you had until you started. And by scratch an itch I mean give you the best proverbial scratching you've had in years.

Reddit now has me thinking about SWG. To date no game has made me feel the way that game did... exploring out in the middle of nowhere and riding up to the crest of a hill, looking into the sunset as the music swelled just at the right second. Fuck yeah, man. Fuck yeah.

I've been following this project on and off for years now and I'm really excited to see it coming to fruition. The game had a lot of faults even before it was brought back from the grave but if you can look past them SWG provides a truly unique MMO experience that I really appreciate in a time when virtually all games are striving to copy-paste the WoW format.

Edit: I should add that SWG is definitely an acquired taste so if you're interested I would really look into the mechanics and aesthetic first. On top of that I imagine it will be some time before one of the best parts of the game, the space sim, gets implemented.

If anyone missed it TSM was up around 10 kills and 10k gold at the 20 minute mark when they all got hit with DCs. Dig surrenders. Fuckin' props to both teams.

I think this is very telling of why I find solo queue very irritating. My biggest problem in general is that people will often have no idea how to play as a team. They think that if they play their solo lane and win they automatically win the game. In fact when I queue up for a game and the first thing someone says is "mid" or "top" I can almost guarantee they will be terrible in mid and late game because they just don't know how and when to fight with the team.

The combat upgrade wasn't all that bad. It was the NGE and the removal of everything that made the skill system unique that killed it.

Uggh. I could not stand the first and third video. The "I'm going to copy redlettermedia" thing was fucking annoying and made the video unwatchable for me. I'd recommend this and the follow-up videos he did.
