I wish i had Knights of St.John from the 1500s era to create the Great Siege of Malta 1565, but unfortunatly i haven't found any mods of them :((((( Here i'm Outnumbered by almost 400 men & horses, i chose some of my best units, a defensive position & deployed a catapult & the standard of the Holy Cross. † Deus lo Vult † Knights Hospitallers: 1 General's Bodyguard 3 Marshalls of the Hospitallers 1 Hospitaller Crossbowmen 2 Armenians of Cilicia 3 Canons of the Holy Sepulcher 4 Hospitaller Sergeants 1 Catapult 1 Standard of the Holy Cross Ottoman Turks: 1 General's Bodyguard 2 Qapukulu Heavy Cavalry 2 Hasham Heavy Cavalry 1 Spahi Lancers 1 Spahi Missile Cavalry 2 Janissary Archers 1 Ottoman Infantry 4 Azabs Infantry 2 Janissary Heavy Infantry 2 Dismounted Hasham 2 Kurdish Auxiliaries

Russian tradition of the Knights Hospitaller en.wikipedia.org Blessed Gerard created the Order of St John of Jerusalem as a distinctive Order from the previous Benedictine establishment of Hospitallers (Госпитальеры). It provided medical care and protection for pilgrims visiting Jerusalem. After the success of the First Crusade, it became an independent monastic order, and then as circumstances demanded grafted on a military identity, to become an Order of knighthood. The Grand Priory of the Order moved to Rhodes in 1312, where it ruled as a sovereign power, then to Malta in 1530 as a sovereign/vassal power.

Kingdom of Heaven - Knight Hospitaller
Kingdom of Heaven - Knight Hospitaller
One of the greatest parts in the Director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven ! Hospitaller: One may stare into the light, until one becomes the light. I've done it many times. Balian of Ibelin: [throws a rock at a bush that catches fire by the spark] There's your religion. One spark, a creosote bush. There's your Moses. I did not hear it speak. Hospitaller: That does not mean that there is no God. Do you love her? Balian of Ibelin: Yes. Hospitaller: The heart will mend. Your duty is to the people of the city. I go to pray. Balian of Ibelin: For what? Hospitaller: For the strength to endure what is to come. Balian of Ibelin: And what is to come? Hospitaller: The reckoning is to come for what was done one hundred years before. The Muslims will never forget. Nor should they. [the Hospitaler slowly walks away as a second bush several yards from the burning one catches fire. The Hospitaler is nowhere to be seen in the clear and open desert] (taken from imdb.com)

Knights Hospitallers of Malta modified for Medieval2 Totalwar :) (Test battle)
Knights Hospitallers of Malta modified for Medieval2 Totalwar :) (Test battle)
Yeeeeeee, At last i can play with 16th Century Knights of St.John of Malta in Medieval 2 Totalwar :) Since Knights Hospitallers of st.John in M2TW r from the 11th-12th & 13th Century era i couldn't recreate battles from the Great Siege of Malta 1565, cos during the 16th Century the Knights Hospitallers were much different than before. During the Great Siege they used 16th Century Spanish & Italian armor suits, Arquebusiers replaced archers/crossbows, cannons, pikemen, buckler shields, halbereds/bills, incendiary weapons etc & red tunics/surcoats with white crosses. I used units from Portugal faction since only there i found the units i needed all in one faction, with my brother's great help & a long process i managed to edit colors on them how i wanted & made them look exactly like Knights of st.John of the 16th Century :) Even the Commander, but since he's the commander i made the Order's 8 pointed cross on his breast & back plates instead of the normal cross, Looks great :) This is just a test battle to show them, i got more battle vids coming up including recreating battles from the Great Siege of Malta 1565. Hoorayyyyy!!! :))))) Hail The Knights Hospitallers of St.John of Malta!!! †

M2TW: The Knights Hospitallers of Malta Besieged by the Ottomans 1/3
I know, I got a lot of things don't match like the buildings, bastions & walls of Malta to this fortress & it doesn't look like Sanglea peninsula at the Grand Harbour, but here i'm giving a glimps of the siege of Senglea from inland side on the 27th of August 1565. I used some of the same tactics used by the Knights of St.John during the Great Siege of Malta to repel the turks. Mustafa Pasha had 2 siegetowers to be built to take the walls but as soon as Grand Master La Valette knew he ordered cannons brought out & fire chainshots at the approaching tower destroying it & killing all 40 Turks manning it, then a raiding party sneaked out & attacked the 2nd tower on a daring mission. They succeeded in capturing it & destroying some of their cannons as the Turks during August had low moral knowing all their best efforts failed during the whole siege. The 1st vid shows bombardments most of it, the 2nd shows the assault & hand-to-hand fighting & the 3rd vid shows the mopping up. Another tactic used in Malta was to lure the Turks into the breach then meet them with pikes, halbereds, swords & arquebusiers/Maltese militia firing & throwing rocks/firehoops at them from over the walls, they literally got slaughtered in panic, same thing i used here :) † Victory †

M2TW Kingdoms: Knights Hospitallers besiege Egyptian & Turkish Saracens 1/3
Sry for the lag in the middle of it, but i besieged 2 army factions in 1 city, cos when i have more than 2 full armies battling it out at the same time it lags a bit till i buy my new vga. I chose the Knights Hospitallers of St.John, the Egyptians & Turks to make it look like the crusades. As i started the bombardment i noticed that no saracen was yet manning the walls, its not something happenes all the time so i grabbed the opportunity & immediatly sent in my siegetowers & ram. I took them by surprise & stormed in from the walls & from the main gate. They had much more infantry & cavalry than i had so after my infantry slaughtered many saracens meeting them, more of them came, & my troops started taking the toll of them. My infantry were getting tiered & at the point of retreating when i brought all my cavalry knights around & flanked them just in time. I managed to kill both their commanders & annihilated them all. They were about to snatch victory but the Knights Hospitallers of St.John achived Victory over the Turkish Qapukulu Spahis & Egyptian Royal Mameluks :) Hail the Order of St.John!!!

M2TW Kingdoms: The Best of the Knights Hospitallers vs the Best of Turkey
This battle has only 2hitponits units & all units r max skilled of both sides. Units r Marshalls of the Hospitallers & Canons of the Holy Sepulcher vs Turkish Late Bodyguard Cavalry units & Hashanshin. I used 5 units of Marshalls (60 per unit) as my cavalry & 6 units of Canons (120 per unit) as my infantry & for the Turks, since their only 2hitpoint cavalry units r the bodyguard, i deployed 7 Turkish Late General's Bodyguard units (40 per unit) as cavalry & 13 Hashanshin units (60 per unit) as infantry. Knights Hospitallers: 5 Marshalls of the Hospitallers = 300 Knights Cavalry 6 Canons of the Holy Sepulcher = 720 Knights Infantry 1020 Total Turkey: 7 Late General's Bodyguard = 280 Heavy Cavalry 13 Hashanshin = 780 Heavy Infantry 1060 Total.

M2TW Crusades: Knights Templars, Hospitallers & Teutonic vs Saracen Cavalry
I always thought it would be great to have all 3 orders of the Knights Templars, Knights Hospitallers & Teutonic Knights battling the Saracens in the same battle. Unfortunatly, u can't play with all 3 of them in the same faction, so i played with the Templars. I deployed the some of best Cavalry units in both the Christian & Muslim side. For the Muslims, i deployed the Khassaki, Royal Mameluks, Mameluks, Ghulams, Arab Cavalry & Sultan Saladin as the bg, & for the Christians, although there is not many to choose from, i deployed Knights Templars & Marshalls of the Templars, Knights Hospitallers & Marshalls of the Hospitallers, Teutonic Knights & Grand Master Ulrich units. As many of u don't know yet, Grand Master Ulrich & Sultan Saladin units are the same units in the historical battles of Arsuf & Tannenberg, cos i managed to unlock all famous hero units for custom battles, like King Richard the Lionheart, Saxon King Harold, Duke William the Conqueror, Prince Rufus, King Henry V, King Francis I of France, Bohemond of Taranto, King Guy, Hernan Cortes, Byzantine Emperor Manuel, Teutonic Grand Master Ulrich, Polish King Wladislaw, Sultan Saladin, Sultan Nur al-Din & Qilich Arslan I. At first i wasn't so sure how the battle would go since the Knights were split in 3 factions, but it couldn't go better cos the Hospitallers in the middle moved back a bit to some higher ground, i did the same with my Templas & the Teutonic Knights came flanking the Saracens from the far right ...
