Temperatures are for the next 24 hours
Different pressure systems have brought huge differences across Europe, with heat in the east and storms in the west. As BBC Weather's John Hammond explains, the storms even spawned a freak tornado in southwest France.
April was the wettest ever recorded. Some places saw 3 times the expected rainfall. Matt Taylor has all the details.
