"The Constitution has but two enemies, whether foreign or domestic, who are in the least to be feared. The first of these is ignorance—ignorance of its contents, ignorance of its meaning, ignorance of the great truths on which it is founded and of the great things that have done in its name. And the second is indifference—the sort of indifference which leads many people, otherwise well enough behaved, to ignore both the rights and duties of citizenship." (John W. Davis, July 1925) Noah Webster: "In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed.. .No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people." - Preface It is your duty as a citizen to know, reason from and vote according to the principles of American liberty. Those principles of government appear in the context of His Story—Christian history—and must be learned and taught in each generation. Last Friday I bought a new trainset. This set, Märklin 26561, contains one locomotive of the 16/1800 series: NS 1828 "Apeldoorn" and 5 ICL (intercity lease) carriages. The Dutch Railways hired about 110 carriages of the German Railways because of the new timetable in 2007 which needed more trains. Those trains were pulled by a locomotive of the 1700 series or a 16/1800 series locomotive. There was one locomotive on each side of the train.

The American Presidents: Andrew Jackson
The American Presidents: Andrew Jackson
American history is so much more than dates and documents — it's the dynamic story of the real men and women, immigrants and Native Americans, who together built our country. Disneys The American Presidents is a fresh and relevant narrative (developed with a former producer of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report) about the men who led this country through change and the lives they affected, from an early idea of democracy to our first African American President. Each DVD includes short-form Presidential biographies, era overviews for historical context, and thematic segments such as The Making of the Presidency and We the People. The DVD content is based on National Curriculum Standards and features interviews with political luminaries such as Sam Donaldson, Wesley Clark, Paul Begala, Melissa Harris-Lacewell and many more. Try the interactive whiteboard content on every DVD — its an exciting, competitive game that uses video clips, photographs and quotes to test students understanding of the Presidents, their political positions, and why they matter in the American story. Schubert's immortal "Serenade" was written in 1826. It is so familiar that it needs no analysis, nor is one necessary from any point of view. It is simply a lovely melody from first note to last, written upon the inspiration of the moment, and yet characterized by absolute perfection of finish and a grace and beauty of which one never tires.
