A wave of bombings targeting liquor stores and restaurants serving alcohol in this southern port city over the past six months have scared some while others are defiant and continuing with their work as usual despite the dangers.

Indian policemen stand near the wreckage of a car which was blown up by a blast in Bijbehara, 49km (30 miles) south of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian Kashmir, 22 march 2012. At least one person was killed and 20 others were wounded in the explosion, official said. Police said slain man is a suspect militant. Locals said the intensity of the blast shattered glass panes of buildings in the vicinity and created panic among the residents.
