Win7 Media Center Glitch when recording starts
Win7 Media Center Glitch when recording starts
MICROSOFT: PLEASE FIX THIS! Different PC. Different QAM tuner. Same OS. Same result. Win7 Media Center with Silicondust HDHomeRun dual tuner. If you're watching a live TV program when a recording starts, the channel changes spontaneously and 7MC *thinks* you're still watching the channel you were on. You have to change channels and change back to see what you were watching. Had the same problem with Hauppauge HVR-2250 tuners recording ClearQAM channels on a completely different system. I've concluded that this is a problem with Windows 7 that affects absolutely everyone who uses more than one QAM tuner. Most fail to reproduce the problem because they pick an upcoming program that's already starting within just a minute or two, so it starts recording right away.

Tektronix MTS4000 MPEG Analyzer Generator
A really impromptu video unboxing an MTS4000 MPEG Analyzer. Video not great but some good brief overview information. The Tektronix MTS4000 was announced at IBC 2011. It can help diagnose and solve MPEG issues in the transport or elementary layers. It can also provide video quality measurements that will raise your brows and make you say, "I want that!".
