Bustin' Down The Door
Bustin' Down The Door
Guns, gangs and huge waves. The brutally violent true story of when Hawaii's North Shore went to war. During the winter of 1975 in Hawaii, surfing was shaken to its core. A group of young surfers from Australia and South Africa sacrificed everything and put it all on the line to create a sport, a culture, and an industry that is today worth billions of dollars and has captured the imagination of the world. With a radical new approach and a brash colonial attitude, these surfers crashed headlong into a culture that was not ready for revolution. Surfing was never to be the same again... © 2008 Bustin Down The Door, LLC.

Jai Santoshi Maa (1975) Full Movie
Jai Santoshi Maa (1975) Full Movie
Maa Santoshi is an emblem of love, contentment, forgiveness, happiness and hope. It is so believed that fasting and praying for her for 16 consecutive Fridays brings peace and prosperity in ones family. Santoshi Maa inspires an individual to cherish family values and to come out of the crisis with one's determination. Santoshi Maa is also considered to be an incarnation of Mother Durga and is widely worshipped through out India and by Indians residing outside India. Vrata-katha Unlike other Indian mythological films which were based on the Hindu epics or the Puranic scriptures, Jai Santoshi Maa was based on a popular pamphlet about the vrata katha (legend of the ritual fast) of Santoshi Mata's Friday vrata. The vrata katha is as follows: An old woman had seven sons, the youngest of whom was irresponsible so she served him the leftovers of his brother's meals as his daily meal. The wife of the youngest son got to know this and told her husband, who left the house to seek his fortune. He acquired work with a merchant and became wealthy, but forgot about his wife. His wife was tormented by her in-laws in absence of her husband. Once, she came to know about the 16-week Santoshi Ma vrata and performed it. As a result, Santoshi Mata appeared in her husband's dream and informed him of his wife's plight. He returned home wealthy and set up a separate household with his wife. In the udyapan ceremony of the vrata, the in-laws plotted against the wife and served sour food to the ...

Recorded Live - Flesh Eating Film Reels (1975)
This film was frequently on the HBO "Short Takes," which were short films that played in-between the full-length movies in the 70s and 80s on the network. The movie involves a man who attends a job interview in a building, and when he arrives he is attacked by 2 scheming and murderous videotapes. He tries to escape the videotapes, even running down the hall and shutting himself into a room by himself. But they find a way to slither underneath the carpet and continue attacking him. Ultimately, they "eat" the man! As a child, I remember being terrified of this movie. And yet, I would watch it each time it came on TV!

1975-OFFICIAL JAWS Theme John Williams
Jaws is a 1975 American horror/thriller film directed by Steven Spielberg and based on Peter Benchley's best-selling novel. The police chief of Amity Island, a fictional summer resort town, tries to protect beachgoers from a giant great white shark by closing the beach, only to be overruled by the town council, which wants the beach to remain open to draw a profit from tourists during the summer season. After several attacks, the police chief enlists the help of a marine biologist and a professional shark hunter. Roy Scheider stars as police chief Martin Brody, Richard Dreyfuss as marine biologist Matt Hooper, Robert Shaw as shark hunter Quint, and Lorraine Gary as Brody's wife Ellen. Jaws is regarded as a watershed film in motion picture history, the father of the summer blockbuster movie and one of the first "high concept" films.[2][3] Due to the film's success in advance screenings, studio executives decided to distribute it in a much wider release than ever before. The Omen followed suit in the summer of 1976 and then Star Wars one year later in 1977, cementing the notion for movie studios to distribute their big-release action and adventure pictures (commonly referred to as tentpole pictures) during the summer. The film was followed by three sequels, none with the participation of Spielberg or Benchley: Jaws 2 (1978), Jaws 3-D (1983) and Jaws: The Revenge (1987). A video game titled Jaws Unleashed was produced in 2006. Despite the high levels of violence in the film ...

Rani is a child who is being brought up by her mother, Kamla, as her dad has gone out of the town on business. Both mother and daughter live with their cruel and selfish relatives. One day Kamla gets the news that her husband is returning, and she is overjoyed. This joy turns to sorrow when she finds out that he has passed away in an accident. Shortly, thereafter she too passes away, leaving poor Rani at the hands of the cruel relatives. Rani loves her parents, as they are her world, and she undertakes a journey into the netherworld to try and bring her parents back to life. This movie also features the story of Cinderella and Gulliver's Travels, in two songs. Movies for the young audience, is hardly taken seriously in India, I believe and very few attempts have been made to make movies that cater to young minds. Too often what we get in the name of Children's Films is actually what they dish out to the adult audience (most of them perfectly watchable for kids). Rani and Laal Pari too often takes the same course... but this one was one I managed to connect most with. It was an absolute tear-jerker to say the least(which Hindi movie isn't to some extent?). The characters are easily identifiable ...

Martin Brody is the new police chief of Amity, an island resort town somewhere in New England aka (Massachusetts). He has a wife named Ellen, and two sons named Michael and Sean. On a Summer morning, Brody is called to the beach, where the mangled body of Summer vacationer Chrissie Watkins has washed ashore. The medical examiner tells Brody that it could have been a shark that killed Watkins. Mayor Larry Vaughn, who is desperate to not lose the money that will be brought in by 4th of July tourists, wants Brody to say Watkins's death was caused by a motorboat propeller instead of a shark, because the thought of a shark in Amity's waters would drive tourists away from Amity. It looks like Vaughn is a mayor who puts money ahead of people's lives. Shark expert Matt Hooper believes Watkins was killed by a shark. Hooper is proven right a few days later, when Alex Kintner is killed by the shark that killed Watkins. Looking for the quickest solution, Vaughn tells all of the local fishermen to let him know if they see the shark. A shark hunter named Quint offers to find the shark and kill it but for a price $10000, but Vaughn thinks Quint's price of $10000 is too high. When a tiger shark is killed and hauled in by a couple of boaters, Vaughn hastily says that the shark crisis is over, but Hooper says the shark that's been killing people a huge great white shark is still in Amity's waters, but Vaughn leaves the beaches opened because all he cares about is the 4th of July tourist ...

The Naked Civil Servant (1975) 1/8
Disclaimer One: I own no rights, I'm just uploading this because it's really hard to find. Disclaimer Two: No one is actually seen entirely naked in this film. Quentin Crisp (John Hurt) - a self-described flamboyant homosexual - looks for love, deals with British homophobia, observes the bizarre lives of his friends, and notes the similarities between civil service and nude modeling. The film is based on his memoir and covers his life from the 1930s to the 1970s. This was made for British TV back in 1975; when it comes to modern movie ratings, I'd say it's probably PG-13. Lots of sex talk, no sex on screen, some scenes of men in bed afterwards.
