BC NDP gains two more seats
BC NDP gains two more seats
www.ctvvancouverisland.ca http Premier Christy Clark is playing down Thursday night's by-election results that'll send two more New Democrats to the legislature. She says the vote that really counts is the one in May of next year - the provincial general election. Despite vote splitting on the right, Clark will not get into a marriage with the Conservatives, like the birth of Social Credit in the 50s, fighting the so-called "socialist hoardes at the gate". And the premier is getting some high-profile support. Follow Stephen Andrew on Twitter: www.twitter.com

NDP Leadership Candidate Nathan Cullen in Yellowknife NWT
Come meet MP Nathan Cullen and hear his vision for the NDP and Canada. "Whether people currently belong to the NDP or have never joined a political party, across this country there's a real excitement about the idea of creating a government that reflects our values. This isn't just about the satisfaction people would get from beating Mr. Harper, though that's admittedly a pleasant thought." "It's more about finally getting moving on some big challenges. Acting on climate change, fighting the growing gap between rich and poor, and changing our voting system are possibilities that have come up often in our conversations..." -Nathan Cullen Introduction by NDP MP for the Western Arctic, Dennis Bevington.
