Gretsch White Falcon
Gretsch White Falcon
The Gretsch White Falcon is thought to be the cream of the crop by many Gretsch enthusiasts. With it's dazzling looks and graceful tones, the White Falcon can tackle any style imaginable, just look at the wide variety of White Falcon users since the 50's. This all-maple hollow body comes with the 1959 style trestle bracing, which supports the maple top and helps avoid feedback, very useful when paired with a set of High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbuckers. Along with a classic master volume setup, the Gretsch White Falcon 's tonal conbinations are quick and easy with an additional 3 way switch for varying degrees of high frequency rolloff. Shining bright on the body are a gold space control roller bridge and Bigsby Vibrato for very muscial pitch bends both up and down. And it wouldn't be a Gretsch White Falcon without the gold sparkle binding, just about everywhere on this guitar from the f-holes to the V-shaped headstock. The unique Gretsch sound is completed by the crisp Ebony fingerboard loaded with Neo-Classic Thumbnail inlays and 22 frets set with a 12" radius. proguitarshop.com

Gretsch Duo Jet
Gretsch Duo Jet
The Gretsch Duo Jet just oozes vintage class, with style and tone that hearkens back to the birth of rock n roll in the mid-fifties. It's chambered mahogany body and arched laminated maple top lend to it's light, resonant feel and warm tone. The one-piece set mahogany neck, 24.6" scale, and 12" radius ebony fingerboard all come together for an agile playability that makes quick chord changes and fast solos fall easily beneath your fingers. Of course the Bigsby vibrato is essential to the classic Gretsch Duo Jet "Je ne sais quoi", and this Bigsby is matched with an Ebony Base, Space Control Roller Bridge for excellent intonation and resonance. A pair of Filtertron humbucking pickups are responsible for the Gretsch Duo Jet 's fat, yet biting tone that you've heard on so many early rock n roll, country, and rockabilly records, enhanced by inidividual and master volume controls, 3-position pickup switch, and a 3-position master tone switch.

Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet
Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet
The Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet harkens back to the Gretsch solidbody guitars of the sixties, with a double-cutaway chambered mahogany body and Gold Sparkle-finished arched maple top. The Double Jet is a veritable old-school tone factory, thanks in large part to it's pair of Gretsch Mini Humbuckers. These pickups have a very even, balanced character whether clean or dirty, making the Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet as smooth or as biting as you desire. Master volume, Master Tone, and a 3-way pickup selector lend to their versatility. The unique 24.6" scale length gives the Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet that distinctive Gretsch feel, enhanced by the set mahogany neck and 12" radius, 22-fret bound rosewood fretboard. An Adjusto-Matic bridge, vintage style tuners, and a Bigsby B-50 tailpiece keep tuning and intonation solid while you get your rockabilly vibrato on.

Gretsch Knotty Pine Western Roundup
Gretsch Knotty Pine Western Roundup
This is the Gretsch Knotty Pine Western Roundup, a limited reissue of the classic Gretsch 1955 6130 Round Up, but with a stunning bookmatched knotty pine top. The Gretsch builders wanted this creation to be like nothing they'd built before, so they combined chambered mahogany and knotty pine for a guitar that looks and sounds like nothing else. Unplugged, the Knotty Pine exhibits a deep, banjo-like resonance. Plug it in, and this character is brought to life by the raw vintage rock tones of a pair of Dynasonic Single Coil pickups. The meaty set mahogany neck is joined to a 12" radius rosewood fretboard, adorned with aged binding and western-themed inlays of cacti, steerheads, and wooden fences. The western motif snowballs from there, with a leather body binding accented with aged furniture tacks, a big "G" body brand,"G" Cutout Belt-Buckle Tailpiece, and Steerhead pickguard and headstock inlays. The Gretsch Knotty Pine Western Roundup definitely won't get lost in the crowd, or in the mix.- proguitarshop.com

Miles Metko - Brand New Gretsch Catalina Maple - Mic Test
Miles Metko - Brand New Gretsch Catalina Maple - Mic Test
This is the standard Gretsch Catalina Maple. It's a 7 piece because the smallest rack tom (7x8) came free.I already love this kit. This is my first real kit because the black Yamaha I used in prior videos belongs to my dad. It sounds great and it's just one of Gretsch's middle of the line kits. I'd recommend it to anyone that doesn't have a huge budget for a nice set. Everything about this kit is as it kit. I just tuned it. I didn't use any muffling on anything, including the bass drum, except for a little painters tape on the snare to eliminate some of the ring. The heads are the manufacturer standard. Coated Gretsch head by Evans on top. Clear Gretsch head by Evans on bottom. Sizes: 7x8 (Rack) 8x10 (Rack) 9x12 (Rack) 14x14 (Floor) 16x16 (Floor) 6x14 (Snare) 18x22 (Bass) Dark Cherry Burst finish Filmed 12/30/11 with a Flip Ultra HD Recorded in Garage Band Edited in iMovie

1964 Gretsch G6120DC
1964 Gretsch G6120DC
A few jams with my all original 1964 Gretsch G6120DC Chet Atkins. It even has the original case and papers. All clips are played through a Blackstar HT-5C on the overdrive channel. The gain was set at 0830 and the volume at about 10 o'clock. The bass was dimed, the mids and treble were at 12 o'clock. The ISF was also at 12 o'clock. The sound and video were captured using the excellent Zoom Q3HD. The video is in full 1080HD and the sound was recorded in 24bit/96kHz. No sound editing was done whatsoever so what you hear is exactly how it came out. The video was compiled using iMovie. The first clip is an extract of The Stray Cats', Stray Cat Strut. The second slip is loosely based on 22-20's, King Bee. The final clip is The White Stripes', Ball & Biscuit. This video is in dedication to Tobin Miller who went to a lot of trouble to get this guitar to me. Thank you very much indeed, kind sir! Enjoy and thanks for watching :) Wilfred Skimbleshanks

Billy Duffy talks about his Gretsch® White Falcon™
Throughout the '80s, into the '90s, and even today, The Cult's guitarist Billy Duffy, has made an impact on alternative rock, with his use of memorable melodic lines, swirling effects and howling feedback. Prior to taking the stage to a raucous crowd in Phoenix, Billy took time out to talk to Gretsch® about his affections for White Falcon™ guitars, his future with The Cult, and the importance of matching a great looking Gretsch guitar with an equally good-looking haircut ...
