The image crisis comes as the woman accused of attempted murder after she allegedly slashed her husband with a panga has pleaded not guilty to the charges. NTV's Sheila Sendeiyo reports.

The father of one, Moses Kang'ethe who is still recuperating at the Nyeri Provincial General Hospital's Intensive Care Unit has referred to last month's blast in which four people died as an accident and he is not discouraged. Kang'ethe sustained 50 percent burns mainly on his head, hands and back. Leaking gas caused the blast at a local gas depot in Tetu. Before the tragic accident, Kang'ethe was a supervisor at the depot.

wwww.ntv.co.ke Two people died and five sustained serious burn injuries after a liquefied gas depot exploded and burst into flames at Kiunyu village in Tetu district.One of the victims died while undergoing treatment at the Nyeri Provincial General Hospital Intensive Care Unit, while the second died as he was being moved into an, at the Nyeri Golf Club grounds aircraft for airlifting to Kenyatta National Hospital. The depot, located in a rural residential setting, supplies cooking gas to the larger Mt Kenya region and it is believed huge quantities of the substance were stored in tankers there.
