The Birth Of A Heavy Metal Legend ! First Orders will receive a FREE EXCLUSIVE A2 JILL JANUS Poster incl. Printed Signature The heavy metal formation from California is undoubtedly the undisputed newcomer of 2012. HUNTRESS has already caused a frenzied commotion within the scene with the release of their first single. The force and power behind the track, taken from their upcoming debut "Spell Eater", proves that the band more than deserves the attention they now enjoy. Leading lady and warrior princess Jill Janus and the rest of the crew have created a musical concoction of occult science and archaic sorcery, which finds its roots in classic heavy metal. Thundering drums, heavy riffs, spectral solos, and catchy choruses are the basis of HUNTRESS' sound, which is majestically crowned by Jill's impressive vocals. The debut album's outstanding tracks will most certainly secure "Spell Eater" a place among the epic and timeless heavy metal albums. Add to it Vance Kelly's (DOWN, THE SWORD) both enchanting and commanding illustrations and you have a clear winner.

Create your own DIY guide at www.howcast.com or produce your own Howcast spots with the Howcast Filmmakers Program at www.howcast.com Starting an independent record label, like starting any other business, requires a well-conceived plan with clear goals. To complete this How-To you will need: A business plan Money A name A band or artist A recording studio Step 1: Write a business plan Write a business plan to demonstrate to potential investors that you know what is involved in running a label. Step 2: Raise capital Put together a budget, and raise the capital necessary to form and run the business. Funds can come from personal savings, loans from family or friends, bank loans, or investors. Step 3: Choose a name Choose a name for the label. Tip: Check with local, state, and federal laws to ensure the business is properly registered. Step 4: Contract a band Contract an artist or band that makes great music and record their album. Tip: Pick a band that is willing to tour. A record label suffers if the band does not tour. Step 5: Contact the press Submit the band's record to the press four months before the release date. Biggest Record Labels - The myths, lies and leftovers of record deals and labels today.
- lorenweisman.com - - http - Biggest Record Labels - The myths, lies and leftovers of record deals and labels today. LW Music Consulting YouTube Video. You are not a record label rant from Loren Weisman. With apologies to the real ones out there or the ones that are actually building up a record label in the right way, more often than not, most that claim it..... YOU ARE NOT A RECORD LABEL!!! For starters the biggest record labels out there have been slowly diminishing to a very few. There are some solid independent record labels out there that actually set up solid and fiscally smart record deals, but those are at a very very very small percent. On one side you have the less than bright people that are just out there chasing an album contract and not paying attention to the details or accepting reality. Having a record deal or being on a record label is not needed anymore when you really think about it. If you have a person or a group that can organize a solid music business plan, the capital or investors, then have the execution plan to deal with the recording, the release, the promotion, the marketing, the branding, the distribution, the touring and the licensing, then you will be successful. it doesn't have to be a label. And by the way binky.....Most of these "record labels" that are out there are not handling one tenth of that stuff listed in any way shape or form. The hype over the label is dead. Getting a record deal or an album contract is only as good as what ...

Is Chipmunk Better Off Without Record Label Sony? [Debate]
Chipmunk: Better Independent or on a Major? [Debate] #CMAR 21 year old UK rapper, Chipmunk was signed to Sony Music in 2009 and created a storm in the UK commercial scene. With the speculation that Chipmunk has recently left Sony Music, the Friday Hip Hop Report Debate Panel discussed whether they think Chipmunk is better off as an independent artist. The discussion raised some very interesting questions and comparisons: -Is Chipmunk better off being independent? -Was Chipmunk attempting to 'break the States'? -Was Sony Music responsible for lack of sales of Chipmunk's 2011 album 'Transition'? -Was the lack of album sales a reflection of the quality of Chipmunk's music? -Is it a good idea for Chipmunk to re-invent himself? The Friday Hip Hop Report Panel gave their opinions on the topic of discussion. Answer: Monstercat, as a company, launched only 6 months ago. Our growth and our success can only be contributed to the community we have helped foster and develop through the use of social networking sites. Websites like YouTube and Reddit help spread our music to people who would otherwise never have a chance to hear it. We understand that sometimes our fans can't afford to purchase a track and take to alternative means to hear it. Just remember, Monstercat unlike most labels takes a very small % of sales, revenue goes directly to the young artists. The Internet made Monstercat and without it would also destroy us. SOPA/PIPA may currently be on benched for the time being, but ACTA is global and far worse. -ACTA is global -ACTA not only blocks websites but can lead to full surveillance of your online activities -ACTA does not have the campaigning against it that SOPA/PIPA did. We need to STAND UP now more than ever. -ACTA not only affects the internet but healthcare, tourism, and trade. -ACTA must be stopped. Slaughterhouse talks, New Album, Eminem, Frank Ocean, Yelawolf, Record Labels
www.hardknock.tv Exclusive in-depth interview with all four members of Slaughterhouse (Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5'9"). In part 1 of this interview Nick Huff Barili asks Slaughterhouse about the new album and if they are looking to make it more introspective than their previous group album, which was extremely lyrical but lacked some of the more personal insight that made them stand out as solo artists. All four members said that you can expect a lot more personal material in the album and that you have to keep in mind that their previous album had to be done in 6 days with a stripped down budget. Slaughterhouse explain how the Shady deal is different than their previous label deals and elaborate on how they see Eminem's Role in the project. While the group says that there aren't full tracks done yet for the album, some skeletals have been built and they have had Jam session with Em. While they haven't had a chance to work with Yelawolf creatively too much they have got a chance to rock a couple shows together which has helped them build a camaraderie as Shady label mates. Nick brought up Joe Buddens' twitter post about Frank Ocean's Novacane song and immediately the group started laughing. Royce says he liked the song too but didn't want to hear it 80 times in a row (Royce and Joe were roommates for the tour). The funny part is that Joe said he probably wouldn't jump on the track because Frank's fans wanted him to leave it alone but a by the ...

Paul Buchanan - MID AIR - Jools Holland Live 2012
Paul Buchanan X of blue nile , For more go to ---- paulbuchanan.com --- The band was formed in 1981 when Paul Buchanan (born 16 April 1956, Edinburgh) and his friend, Robert Bell, met Paul Joseph Moore after graduating from the University of Glasgow in the late 1970s.[2] Although their individual degrees did not reflect their future career wishes (English Literature, Electronic Engineering and Mathematics, respectively), their mutual friendship grew out of their shared interest in music, and they began writing and recording together. Bell and Buchanan were previously the key members of the band Night by Night, who had a small but enthusiastic following in the Glasgow area; they had made demos of songs like "Rio" and "Stay", but were not commercial enough at the time to secure a recording contract. They formed their own label, Peppermint Records, and released their first single, "I Love This Life", which was later picked up and issued by RSO Records.[1] Soon afterwards, RSO was absorbed into Polygram, and The Blue Nile's first single disappeared from view. The trio kept writing and recording over the next couple of years, including a couple of tracks that would later surface on their debut album. [edit] A Walk Across the RooftopsWhen local hi-fi manufacturer Linn Electronics heard their music, through friend and recording engineer Calum Malcolm, the company offered the band money to record a track that would showcase the sonic range of the company's high-end audio ...
