This American Life Part I of II
A few months ago, David Berkeley was a guest on National Public Radio series This American Life. Berkeley was interviewed by Ira Glass who teased out a hilarious if painfully awkward story of a private serenade Berkeley was hired to perform to try to win a girl back for a guy. The interview is just over 13 minutes, so the clip has been broken into 2 parts. This is part 1.

Squirrel Cop - TAL - pt. 1
Squirrel Cop - TAL - pt. 1
The first time I heard "Squirrel Cop". I was driving down the road listening to NPR's (National Public Radio) This American Life. Before long I was laughing so hard, tears were streaming down my face and I had to pull over to the side of the road to listen to the rest of the story. - I loaned a cd with this story to a friend and warned her. The next day she told me that while listening to it, she initially thought the story... amusing; and the next thing she knew she sprayed the inside of her windshield with coffee. So, as a public service. I have uploaded "Squirrel Cop". In hopes that more people can enjoy this hilarious story in safety. Thank you Ira Glass (and the whole staff of This American Life)! www.thisamericanlife.org For "Law and Order" fans. Don't miss "Law and Order BFD" on the link above.. It's pretty funny.

Ben McPherson stages & photographs elaborate Bible scenes, then uses the photos as references for his enormous, lifelike paintings. Each scene is a huge undertakings, but because he lives in Utah, and Mormonism frown on facial hair, Ben's biggest obstacle is recruiting enough men with beards. So he ends up searching Utah's homeless shelters and anarchist cafes to find his prophets and disciples. This clip is from Act 1 of "God's Close-up" the 3rd episode of This American Life with Ira Glass. Watch the whole story April 5th on Showtime, or any time On Demand. Watercolor Portrait Painting Demonstration by Kelly Eddington: Emily
kellyeddington.com This is a watercolor of Emily (my sister), the star of the Beauty Broadcast YouTube channel. This video shows the first 70 minutes of work on her face. What you see on most of her face is just underpainting. Today I concentrated on darkening her eyes, nose, and mouth, so those features really pop against her much-too-light skin. This is about 1/4 of the whole painting, which will include her massive collection of makeup. :) There is intentionally no audio, so imagine episodes of This American Life playing while I work.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare - Gameplay Walkthrough - Part 12 - To Save A Life (Xbox 360)
If you got 2 seconds leave a rating, it helps me out more than you know. Alan Wake American Nightmare Walkthrough Part 12 with HD Gameplay. This is going to be a complete Walkthrough of Alan Wake's American Nightmare for the Xbox 360 with Gameplay and Commentary by theRadBrad. Alan Wake's American Nightmare takes place two years after the events of Alan Wake, our eponymous hero finds himself in the middle of a new adventure in Arizona, where his own words again hold the key to defeating his evil twin, the malevolent Mr. Scratch, who spreads darkness where he goes. Now more experienced at dealing with the weird and horrific, Wake is determined to turn the tide. Despite being a stand-alone game, it does help if you've played Alan Wake before, particularly its DLCs 'The Signal' and 'The Writer' in terms of narrative -- this is, in essence, a direct sequel to 'The Writer' and, with no recalling of the story, things can feel a bit muddled.

DW Griffith: Those Awful Hats (silent)
DW Griffith: Those Awful Hats (silent)
In the span of five years, pioneering director DW Griffith delivered some 450 films for the Biograph Company at a rate of two or three films per week. One and two reels in length, these works showed the filmmaker inventing, borrowing, and perfecting techniques he later used to memorable effect in "The Birth of a Nation," "Intolerance," "Way Down East" and "Orphans of the Storm." But the Biographs were more than that; they helped shape cinematic narrative for generations to come. Plots are simple and direct, revealing an extraordinary dramatic talent of brilliant force, and Griffith assembled the foremost film ensemble of his day, including Lillian and Dorothy Gish, Mary Pickford, Mack Sennett, Lionel Barrymore, Henry Walthall, and Mae Marsh. Among the 22 titles included on this landmark release are such widely recognized masterworks as "The Musketeers of Pig Alley," "The Battle at Elderbush Gulch," "The New York Hat," and "A Corner in Wheat." Collectively, these compact and exciting shorts provide an unparalleled record of American life at the turn of the 20th century.
