China's Trade Surplus Falls
Jan- Sept: export: $1.07 Trillion, up 22% import: $893 billion, +29% total trade: $1.9 Trillion, +25% trade surplus: -2.6% China-EU trade: $322B, +25% For the month of September alone: China posts another record trade surplus despite global slowdown 1 day ago BEIJING (AFP) — China said Monday its trade surplus hit a monthly all-time high of 29.3 billion dollars in September despite slowing global demand brought on by the financial crisis. Exports in September reached 136.4 billion dollars, up 21.5 percent over the same month last year, while imports during the period were 107.1 billion dollars, up by 21.3 percent, the General Administration of Customs said. The previous monthly surplus record was 28.7 billion dollars in August. China's trade surplus for the first nine months of the year reached 180.9 billion dollars, down 2.6 percent year-on-year, the administration said on its website. Despite the unexpectedly high trade surplus for September, China's exporters would not be able to avoid the global economic downtown that has been exacerbated by the crisis embroiling financial markets, analysts said. "September's new record high surplus was mainly a reason of slowing import growth, due to the pullback of international raw materials prices," Ma Qing, Beijing-based economist with CEB Monitor Group, told AFP. "We are holding a cautious attitude to the outlook of China's import and exports. We expect both to fall further in the future because Sino-US trade will definitely go ...

China's Trade Surplus Dwindles as World Economy Weakens
For more news visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Follow us on Facebook ☛ me.lt China's trade surplus has dwindled for a second month in September to $14.5 billion, down from nearly $18 billion in August. That's less than 50 percent of July's trade surplus. The latest trade statistics indicate the Chinese regime is feeling the pinch from the economic woes in Europe and the United States. China's trade surplus has dwindled for a second month in September to $14.5-billion. It's lower than the $17.8-billion in August and less than half of July's figure recorded at $31.5-billion. Trade statistics released on Thursday came in the midst of the Chinese regime's furor over the US currency bill and pressure for a higher yuan—or renminbi. The regime's policy of undervaluing the renminbi has made Chinese exports cheaper—giving it a hefty trade advantage over competitors. Chinese Customs Administration Deputy Head Lu Peijun says the higher yuan is already hurting Chinese exports—and limiting the room for export growth. Chinese exports to Europe have fallen to its lowest since June—at less than half of the total for August. Reuters reported a fall in both Chinese imports and exports—with some analysts saying no recovery is in sight. This trend reflects a weakening world economy and domestic demand that will heighten difficulties for Chinese regime policy makers. A Pingan Securities analyst Shi Lei says, "It's now certain that external demand is falling." He ...

Import slump boosts China trade surplus
www.euronews.com China trade surplus jumped in June as imports rose at only half the pace expected. Annual import growth of 6.3 percent in June fell far short of the 12.7 percent forecast by economists and the 12.7 percent achieved in May. Import data eclipsed an upside surprise in June export growth to 11.3 percent versus the 9.9 percent expected, leaving a trade surplus of $31.7 billion against May's $18.7 billion. The numbers increased anxiety about growth in the world's second biggest economy and signalled a need for Beijing to do more to bolster growth. They indicate both a drop-off in domestic demand and the running down of inventories by exporters worried about the weakness of growth for new orders. Officials pointed to Europe's debt crisis as a factor in exporters' concerns. The European Union is China's biggest trading partner and key to Beijing's ability to meet its 10 percent target for trade growth this year. Softening sales to the EU in the first half of 2012 saw the United States overtake it as China's top export destination. Find us on: Youtube bit.ly Facebook www.facebook.com Twitter twitter.com

Brazilian trade surplus sees fall in year-on-year total
www.gwm-tv.com - Brazil's trade surplus topped 429 million US dollars for the first week in November, according to the country's trade ministry, bringing the year-to-date total to 15.05 billion dollars. The figure is 33 per cent lower than the year-to-date figure from this time last year, when the surplus reached 22.35 billion dollars. Economists have said the difference is down to a huge rise in imports - of both consumer and capital goods - which have been spurred on by Brazil's strong economic recovery. The recovery is expected to see the economy expand by around seven per cent this year.

China's Trade Balance Could Slide Into Deficit: Adviser
For more news visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ me.lt China's massive trade surplus has helped it accumulate trillions of dollars in foreign cash reserves and led to rising pressure from the United States and Europe for the value of the yuan to be increased. But a monetary policy adviser to China's central bank has said falling exports could tip China's trading balance into a deficit next year for the first time in decades. An adviser to the Chinese regime's central bank said the country's trade balance could move to a deficit next year due to falling exports to Europe and the United States. It would be the first time China's economy would not be in surplus in two decades. Head of the financial research institute and cabinet think tank, Xia Bin told Reuters the Chinese regime needed to have a proactive fiscal policy and reform the tax system to increase wages and local consumption. Xia said, (quote)"The US economy won't be good next year and Europe will be worse—meaning weak external demand for China. We can't rule out the possibility of a trade deficit." He did not give a forecast, but said the country's restrictive monetary policy was "about the right tone." Xia is part of a 15-member committee that advises The People's Bank of China on monetary policy, but has little influence on decisions. He was visiting Taipei to talk about his new book. He expected China's economy to keep growing at 8 to 9 percent in 2012 and battle with ...

China how hungry is the dragon?
China entered 2009 with a ballooning trade surplus. This development is both odd and worrying. It is odd because the collapse in global demand was meant to push down China's massive trade surplus. And it is worrying because we need just the opposite to happen in order to achieve global rebalancing and allay concerns about protectionist outbursts in the West. View Stephen Green, Head of China research at Standard Chartered Bank, share his views on this trend.

Rev. In Jin Moon's Lovin' LLM Sermon, August 7, 2011
Sermon Notes, August 7, 2011
In Jin Moon
1. In Jin Nim greeted everyone. (The applause was especially enthusiastic – with all the middle school camp kids in the audience). She just got back from Las Vegas at two o'clock this morning. True Parents (True Parents) send us their greetings!
True Parents at Hoon Dok Hae in Las Vegas, August 6, 2011
2. In Jin Nim reported to True Parents about the WFWP 19th annual conference -- they were delighted to hear about it. Congratulations to the WFWP. In Jin Nim recognized Angelika Selle (President) and the team that did such a phenomenal job. The conference highlighted the beauty of women from all around the world who came to discuss how to unlock the power and beauty of relationships. In Jin Nim had the honor of being the keynote speaker at one of the morning plenary sessions. To come together in the spirit of the feminine and in the celebration of the feminine and discuss amongst themselves how they can be the agent of change to usher in the new millennium. It was an incredibly powerful and profoundly moving experience for In Jin Nim. In Jin Nim could not attend the gala in the evening which she heard was a great success (she had to fly out to Las Vegas to report to True Parents) – with lovely dancers and a comedian who brought down the roof. True Parents and (especially) True Mother were delighted to hear that the WFWP had completed its 19th conference
3. Whenever In Jin Nim visits True Parents she always is so grateful – realizing what an incredible time we are living in. She likes to say that this is the time of the breaking news. Jesus Christ brought the good news – truly helping all of humanity to understand the meaning of what it is to truly love one another and encouraging women to live an inspired and true life. But now is the time of the breaking news because now we are not only talking about understanding and substantiating and applying true love and true life in our lives but really coming to substantiate the true lineage of God – grafting on to the heavenly lineage and becoming one family under God. So – it is an incredibly exciting time for all of us here working in the Ministry
4. As we think about each Sunday and what topics and issues will be discussed – they (Lovin' Life team) are always tickled pink when they realize that so much of the inspiration comes from the enthusiasm of the young people which they show to the Lovin' Life Ministry every Sunday – and enthusiasm that is shared all around the country in 100 different satellite locations across America. "We know that when we can see and experience the inspired youth, truly encouraged in the spirit of true love – wanting to build that ideal family, society, nation, and world, we know that it is not just a dream that we are dealing with, when we think or ponder or ruminate on the topic on this beautiful world of peace, but it is something tangible, something that we are working towards each and every day, something that we can build upon starting with you and me."
5. As In Jin Nim was taking the trip to Las Vegas, on the way back going through LA they had to wait for a plane to come and replace the plane they were supposed to be on. And so they had some delay time. People started gathering in small groups and talking with each other. And In Jin Nim noticed in one corner three young teenage girls. They were beautiful girls huddled together looking at fashion magazines. Glamour, Elle, Cosmopolitan, People, Us, (and others). They were pointing at different people and things exclaiming, "I want to be like her, I want to have that, she has legs 6 miles long, her body is perfect, 36-24-32." In Jin Nim listened to their conversation – "you know, these people they have it all, they're beautiful, they have their cars, mansions, iPods and iPad's, fabulous girlfriends and boyfriends, all the designer clothes (In Jin Nim named the brands and designers – "they knew their stuff" – designer bags and shoes). When I become rich and successful these are the things that I want!"
6. These ladies were between 15 and 17. They were infused with this incredible desire – wanting the latest designer clothing and bags (In Jin Nim gave several designer names). It is interesting how, it doesn't matter where we come from, what culture we are born into, what race we belong to – in the journey through life, on the road of life where we come to understand what we are all about and who we are and what we need to do and what kind of people we need to be – there is this word that we come face-to-face with from time to time – the word 'desire.'
7. Many times we say to ourselves that we desire things. We desire all these things that we want to acquire – we desire. In Jin Nim often thinks, yes we desire all these things, we desire X – (fill in the box). But many times in life there are other things at play, not just we as individuals, but there are also supernatural things at play, there are th

Mohau Pheko discusses global trade and globalisation in the context of economic development in Africa. Farm subsidies in the US and EU create surplus food production; excess food is dumped on the African market at artificially low prices.

The United State's Trade Deficit
While many politicians are now blaming the lack of jobs on the federal budget deficit, America's trade deficit is actually to blame for many of our problems. Since 1975, the US has imported more goods than it has exported. In the past 10 alone, the US had a average deficit of $600 billion in global trade. A large portion of this is oil imports, but consumer goods are another area where the US imports virtually everything. America needs to work to implement revised trade policy that will reduce our trade deficits and create jobs. China's Trade Slows Sharply
For more news and videos visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ on.fb.me Trade between China and other countries has plunged according to official statistics, suggesting the global economic slowdown is also embroiling China. Analysts say the fall is not only due to the closure of factories during the long Lunar New Year manufacturing break. Instead, they also blame the ongoing debt crisis in Europe. China's trade data has suffered its biggest fall since 2008, heightening fears that the economic woes of the United States and Europe will also hit China's economy. China's exports fell to $149.9 billion, 0.5 percent down from a year earlier, due to weak overseas demand and the closure of factories during the Lunar New Year. It was the first time exports fell in more than two years. Imports were more concerning, with a 15.3 percent plunge bringing total imports to $122.7 billion. At the same time, China's global trade surplus swelled to a six month high of $27.3 billion, which is likely to be a talking point when Chinese Communist official Xi Jinping visits the US this week. This swell raises a politically sensitive issue, as the US and other countries have long accused Beijing of hurting their economies by keeping its currency artificially low in order to boost exports and swell its trade surplus. But falling imports are also a concern for suppliers like Brazil, Australia and South Africa whose economies are heavily reliant on selling ...
