Q. "WHOA!!! wait one second ... Why isn't Ecademy free like Facebook and Twitter???" - You may ask.

A. If we made it free a whole bunch of spammy numpties would jump on here and abuse our platform. By charging a small fee we've created a community of real people who actually want to be here, not just hit and run. It covers our costs (we didn't raise billions) so we don't have to do evil things to make a buck. If you compare us to any business service, for what we offer we think we're pretty good value. We hope you understand.

Q. Ecademy looks a little bit old compared with Facebook and Twitter.

A. Well, we are a good 7 years older than they are (that's about 50 in web-years). We're currently going through a revamp and in 2012 will unveil gorgeous new profiles and stunningly cool blogs.

Q. It looks a bit cliquey, are you sure I will fit in.

A. I'm not totally sure. If you're entrepreneurial and you share valuable content you will be hailed as the brand new cool kid on campus. If you're one of "those" people who posts a blog that is basically sales copy designed to close people into your latest new product... well... lets just say you're not going to get as warmly embraced as you might have hoped. Share without an agenda and Ecademy will be a great source of support and even business. Approach it like a dinner party with colleagues more than a trade expo.

Q. I'm not great with technology, how do I get my head around all the bits and bobs.

A. A few things on this. Our new site will be easier to use but this one isn't as difficult as it looks. It takes a few minutes to figure things out once and then it's pretty easy after that. We've created video tutorials and we can even get someone to buddy you in month one if you like.
