Disclaimer - Language Translation

Deakin University enables you to use Google Translate to machine-translate selected pages on this web site. Machine Translation is the process whereby computer software translates text from one natural language into another. The software considers the grammatical structure of each language and uses rules and assumptions to transfer the grammatical structure of the source language into the translated language. Google Translate allows you to grasp the general intent of the original text, but will not produce a polished translation equivalent to that produced by a professional translator.

Deakin University does not review, endorse or approve Google Translate or the contents of any translation that may be provided by or created from your use of Google Translate. The translations provided are automated and therefore may not be accurate, and may contain incorrect, offensive, or misleading language. If there are any discrepancies between the translated version of the website and the the information presented in English on the website, the English version on the website is the authoritative version and shall govern. Any individual or entity that obtains information from this translation service does so at his or her own risk and Deakin University will not be responsible for any damage or loss arising from the use or inability to use Google Translate.

Teaching provided in English

Deakin University provides Google Translate as a convenience for students and their families whose primary language may not be English. Use of Google Translate on this website does not imply that we offer services in any language other than English.

Deakin University offers services in English only, and all prospective international students are required to achieve specific competency requirements demonstrating English language proficiency.
