Cell Division and the Cell Cycle
Cell Division and the Cell Cycle
This is a 5.5 minute dramatic video choreographed to powerful music, which introduces the viewer to the wonder and miracle of the cell division and cell cycle. It is designed as a motivational "trailer" to be shown by Biology, Biochemistry and Life Science teachers in middle and high school and college as a visual "Introduction" to this miracle of life. As a high school Biology teacher myself, I have found this video to truly inspire my students to want to learn more about the topic. Please rate this video and feel free to comment. If you like it, please help me spread the word via social media. The more students and teachers who can enjoy the wonder of Science, the better. I wish to thank all of the video and music producers whose quality postings enabled me to create this video for educational use. To best enjoy this video, turn up your speakers. The music is very dramatic. Subscribe to my channel for other video trailers in Biology, Earth Science and Astronomy. I will be releasing new ones periodically. I can customize this video to add your name or school name at the end credits for a very modest fee. If interested, email me at "inquiry@gregs-educational.info"

Cell Division, Meiosis
Cell Division, Meiosis
Cell Division, Meiosis Meiosis is the type of cell division by which germ cells (eggs and sperm) are produced. Meiosis involves a reduction in the amount of genetic material. Meiosis comprises two successive nuclear divisions with only one round of DNA replication.

The Stages of Mitosis
The Stages of Mitosis
Stages of Mitosis, a promotional piece, begins with a fly-through of cells preparing to undergo mitosis (cell division). Upon entering a cell we are introduced to various organelles of the inner cell and the key events involved in mitosis. Cell division involves 7 key stages resulting in the splitting of the nucleus, and ultimately, cell division. www.hybridmedicalanimation.com

Cancer: Unregulated Cell Division
Cancer: Unregulated Cell Division
Have you ever wondered how cancer grows? Take a close look at the cancer cell division in this realistic 3D animation. Compare and contrast healthy animal cell division to unregulated cancer cell division side-by-side for a deeper understanding of cancer tumor growth. The animated daily timer provides a real-time update on the total number of daughter cells produced during healthy and cancer cell division. This multifaceted and visceral video communicates the aggressive nature of this disease and identifies unregulated cell division as the underlying mechanic of cancer.

A Plant Cell in Division
A Plant Cell in Division
My group's "slowmation" project representing mitosis for Biology Honors in Fall 2009. Project created by myself (Zachary Waldowski), Harrison Donellan, and Ryan Tully. Depicts a plant cell throughout mitosis and cytokinesis. Uses royalty-free background music "Night Flight" by Mike Bruin, who seems to have disappeared off the internet. Made in iMovie '09 and photographed using the iSight camera on a uMBP 13" June 2009. God, was THAT a pain.
