POINT PLEASANT, New Jersey (Feb. 29, 2004)--U.S. Coast Guard personnel from Activities New York, Group Moriches, Station Barnegat Light, Station New London, and Station Jones Beach, dive into the frigid 38 degree waters of the Atlantic at Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ, during the Polar Bear Plunge to benefit NJ Special Olympics. Thirty-five Coast Guard personnel made the plunge raising approximately $5,000.
