In 2011, South African archeologists reported finding a 100,000 year old human-made ochre-based mixture which may have been used like paint.Cave paintings drawn with red or yellow ochre, hematite, manganese oxide, and charcoal may have been made by early Homo sapiens as long as 40,000 years ago.
Ancient colored walls at Dendera, Egypt, which were exposed for years to the elements, still possess their brilliant color, as vivid as when they were painted about 2,000 years ago. The Egyptians mixed their colors with a gummy substance, and applied them separate from each other without any blending or mixture. They appeared to have used six colors: white, black, blue, red, yellow, and green. They first covered the area entirely with white then traced the design in black, leaving out the lights of the ground color. They used minium for red, and generally of a dark tinge.

He played the viola with the London Philharmonic before World War II, and later drove a cab and was a driving-test examiner, before becoming a civil servant with the Ministry of Transport. Mirren's mother was from West Ham, East London, and was the 13th of 14 children born to a butcher whose father had been the butcher to Queen Victoria. Mirren considers her upbringing to have been "very anti-monarchist".
If I could find the time to speak
I'd try to find a thousands way to prove you wrong
Falling on my face
I'm chasing all the lines of your skin
And all your pirouette mistakes
So dance until you're brand new
Ignore the fight inside that scares you
Look before you end it all
Look before you shut your eyes
For the last time
Theres no more room to go back down
Your picture trends in black and white
(I will show you)
I will show you what it's like
Let them say all that they want
I'll wipe away your painted wings
till your heroes come
If you doubt it looks so new
Then the venom in your eyes will control you
Well I hate pouring my heart out
When it's fading fast
And streaming down your leg
Look before you end it all
Look before you shut your eyes
For the last time
Theres no more room to go back down
Your picture trends in black and white
(I will show you)
I will show you what it's like
She whispers in his ear (Don't hurt me)
Don't hurt me, (Don't forget me) don't forget me
Don't hurt me, I'm still not put back together
Look before you end it all
Look before you shut your eyes
For the last time
Theres no more room to go back down
Will you fight for me and not back down
Your picture trends in black and white
(I will show you)
I will show you what it's like
(If you let me me)
Your picture trends in black and white
(That we painted)
I will show you what it's like
I am right here and I'm waiting
A painted picture there
Wet ink runs down her face
Silhouettes of laughter
Disguise the smile she wears
Heading down that dark road
To find her name
The canvas that she was before
Rags frayed and torn
Jesus, He Loves
Magazines and dreams
Images of things what wanted
Now they all were flaunted
Before her to tease
Heading down that dark road
To find her name
Images of shattered souls
Lifeless on the floor
Jesus, He Loves
No sweeter Name, no sweeter Name
Heading down that dark road
To find her name
Would you believe the life she found in mine would be her own
Jesus, He Loves
Jesus, heal us
No sweeter name in heaven
No sweeter name on earth
