Times change, and so do countries, with ongoing events suggesting Sweden's return to the kind of state which few even realize it once was. Government reports highlight devastating 'structural discrimination' against those of foreign origins and other minorities, a recent headline charging "Swedish society forces immigrants to emigrate". Notably, a report by the government's statistic bureau revealed that more Swedes emigrated in 2011 than at any other time in the nation's history.

Philadelphia's Rabbi Arthur Waskow appeared yesterday on Democracy Now! to discuss "BDS" (Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions) and policy towards Israel and the Palestinians. Waskow feels that the manner in which BDS is framed makes it excessively indiscriminate and that it appears to be anti-Israel as opposed to anti-Israeli actions. BDS appears to Waskow to be a cannon where a pistol is needed.
