Africa is changing: the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) is taking shape, conflict is on the decline and democratic rule is becoming the norm rather than the exception. However, much work remains, both for Africa and the rest of the world. Over two thousand children under the age of five die every day from Malaria, and over 250 million do not have access to safe drinking water.
